DO NOT VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. If you are black, or against racist individuals and businesses. Please save your money!!
GRACE the bartender was extremely rude to myself and my friends. I cannot describe to you the treatment GRACE gave us, because you could just FEEL that she did not want to be helping us or even speaking to us. (You can tell when youāre not wanted somewhere) Some examples or her terrible customer service include misplacing credit cards, mixing up orders (kept giving it so a random black person in the group) blatantly ignoring us when we tried to place orders, constantly disappearing for LONG periods of time. She even came up to some of us at some point asking if she could close out our tabs. (Never have I heard of such behavior at a BAR) Despite this treatment, we were not loud or rowdy, not rude or disrespectful, we were collectively focused on having a carefree good time. Even with GRACE standing slight off to the side, not so quietly talking smack about us to her colleagues. (I personally overheard them and made eye contact several times to the comments she was making to which she would stop talking and walk away)
The icing on the cake was after we were treated so terribly and essentially forced us to close out, GRACE went to her manager to complain that we left her no additional tipā¦.
**Note: We all paid separately, and an 18% gratuity was already included on EACH of our $100+ checks. GRACE was genuinely terrible, and we all felt GRACE did not deserve a dime more of our money.
As we were all leaving we overheard GRACE yelling and talking about our group nastily about not adding in additional tip. We tried to explain to the manager that GRACEās service was horrible and that she was rude and her behavior towards us was seemingly discriminatory, as GRACE went above and beyond for those (of lighter skin) around us.
Hearing this, GRACE then stepped into one of our friends faces yelling and screaming at her that we were liars, and that she wasnāt rude to us. GRACE was literally nose to nose. Yelling in the face of a customer that just spent well over $100 for the disgusting watered down drinks and even more disgusting service she was giving all night. Her manager stood behind the counter not doing anything, so we the patrons, tried to de-escalate the situation by telling our friend not to engage & leaving. GRACE continued to try to get yell, scream and even tried to get physical with us. Yes. GRACE tried to fight us, a large group of black people trying to mind their business and leave, until she finally looked my black male friend in his eyes screamed āNI**ERā at him, then looked around at the rest of us smugly. She was literally smiling and laughing at our outrage in response to the racial slur she so proudly used. Then tried to claim that we were ganging up on her. She tried to start crying, but was faking it and went back to laughing. When we asked the manager angrily how he could let his employee speaking to us that way and use that kind of language, he responded while (finally) trying to hold her back, was āsorry, sheās drunkā. Like huhhhh?!
As a supervisor myself, with a team of over 100 employees, I understand what it means to work in the customer service industry. I give exemplary customer service and mandate it from my employees daily. Iām not saying the customer is always right, and Iām not even the type to leave reviews, but GRACE was genuinely disrespectful, rude, dismissive, combative and above all RACIST and deserves to be fired. The managers/management did NOTHING to protect or defend the customer experience, despite us collectively spending hundreds of dollars in their establishment.
Black People are clearly not welcome here and the employees and management do not want your money if youāre a NI**ER, so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friends and I visited this place last Saturday. Granted we were mixed age group with most of us just turned 21 this year, we politely asked about their age policy and was told 21 and over, so we sent those who are under 21 home, then came back up with only 21 years old including myself. A guy in a suit asked for our IDs and we showed it to him. He already knew us from earlier so he checked our IDs thoroughly, but he was just doing his job and wasn't anal about it. Once we showed our IDs, he had no issues. THEN another guy in a suit rushed to us and started checking our IDs AGAIN. Although it was bit annoying, we tried to be understanding and showed our IDs again. However, when I showed my DL, second guy in a suit claimed it was FAKE, and asked for my passport without even telling me what on my ID could have possibly alerted him. I mean who carries their passport around to a bar unless you're from a foreign country... I AM FROM S. CAROLINA not Germany... I told him I don't have my passport on me. Then HE ASKED for a PICTURE of my passport. It was really annoying as I will have to go through all my pics to find it if I even had it saved, but eventually I found it and showed to him. Then the same guy who asked for the picture of my passport said, they cannot accept pictures as a legit form of ID. At this point, me and my friends were very upset and didn't understand what the issue was, but we held ourselves together and cooperated as much as we could just to avoid trouble. I even voluntarily logged into my school's student portal to verify my age once more. While this was happening, one of my friends told to the guy, "You should apologize to her once everything is sorted out." That's all he said and was very reasonable thing for him to do after all we had to go thru, even then we held our friend back and apologized to him, just wanting to get this over with. However, after verifying my age with more documents than I can possibly carry on me, he still wasn't satisfied and repeated saying my driver's license is fake... Seriously, I made up my passport and college documentation on the spot just to get into this shady bar??? We were shocked with his rudeness and questioned him multiple times if he was being serious. Even his own staff didn't seem to understand what the issue was since they all saw what we had to go thru. Yet, all we got back was him smirking at us pointing at the door, and telling us to leave. This is totally unprofessional and don't even think it's legal. Totally ruined our night for no reason at all. We even told him to scan the ID, which could have sorted out the issue without any of these... But guess he trusted his gut more than the legitimate verification methods. I am very disappointed with your code of conduct and waste of my weekend. Unless you can provide me with reasonable explanation of what happened, and a sincere apology for your faulty employee conduct, I will look for any legal measures including reporting to states liquor authorities and local communities for the inconvenience and public shaming your staff caused without...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI reserved for my birthday on a Friday night. The space, food and drinks were all great! It was a cool area with two private ping pong tables that can be set up for ping pong and beer pong (filled with water). Thereās an arcade (not included in reservation) and food to order. On the weekend any reservation requires you to purchase an open bar package or bottle service. We got the lowest tier open bar which was $59/person. Usually, just the table is $50 for 8 people. The fries we ordered were delicious! The atmosphere was very fun for photos and activities.
My only criticism is about the service. On their website they list a lot of menus and packages which I thought was a bit confusing so I thought Iād give them a call before submitting a reservation request. The person on the phone sounded extremely uninterested and didnāt answer my questions clearly. He didnāt tell me that Iād have to purchase the open bar/bottle packages for a weekend reservation. He said ājust send an emailā. The email responses were much more helpful and since I had read so many positive reviews on Google, I felt confident moving forward with the reservation. On the night of, I was running a little late so I called to ensure they knew I was on the way. The person on the phone sounded uninterested again. As if he was thinking āokay why did you tell me youāre going to be late?ā Furthermore, when one of my guests arrived earlier than me, the hostess told them we have a 15 minute grace period and need to arrive ASAP. (I got to the building at 8:15 for my 8pm reservation and had to wait for the elevator so ended up checking in at 8:17). The bar tender had a similar āI donāt want to be hereā attitude. They were very lenient with us staying a little bit over our reservation time until it was time to reset for the next reservation, so that was nice.
Overall I had a great time and think I can say the same for my guests. I would still come back but likely without a reservation forcing me to spend $59 per person. (You can also walk in and hope to...
