Tea and Milk — Restaurant in New York

I’m so happy I found Tea and Milk while holiday shopping at Macy’s yesterday. I’ve been going to their Astoria shop for a few years, so seeing them pop up here feels like watching a neighborhood favorite winning big! Their ceremonial matcha is honestly the smoothest I’ve had in the city — you can tell they take it seriously. I grabbed the Brown Sugar Thai Tea too and it hit perfectly after walking around Herald Square all day. If you're visiting NYC for the holidays, skip the chains and try this local spot. They’ve grown to Bay Ridge and Chelsea Market now but still feel super homegrown. I love how this is a brand I could trust. They make everything from scratch, and import their goods from all around the world. The workers there are really kind and informative. They told me they use real teas so no powder !! I didn’t realize how many boba shops use powder to flavor their drinks. I’m happy to support TM because nothing is overprocessed - and still taste great. At there bay ridge location they have board games, and a book exchange section. this spot has been my go-to for a pick me up ever since they opened! i managed to score their chelsea 5 yr anniversary tumblr and the staff at their macys location was kind enough to make the ceremonial matcha in it!!
