I came in with my brand new 3 year old to get a birthday bear yesterday and was helped by the kindest people. The store was pretty busy but everyone was moved through the process in a timely manner, so no ridiculous amounts of waiting or whining. My son was helped by a guy named Jules who he LOVED! He leapt right into Jules’s arms and tried to give him his birthday crown, blew him a kiss goodbye and everything.. just a really great birthday experience. Up at the register, we got some help from Porsha and Aleeyah, both super friendly and patient with my son as he tried to brush their hair with one of the bear brushes (I’m really sorry, Aleeyah, we’re still working on the boundaries stuff). Everyone there was super outgoing, they gave off “I love my job” vibes and we will definitely be going back for his 4th birthday for a new bear.
Would 100% recommend this place to a friend who wants a fun Manhattan day trip/kid friendly activity...
Read moreI am a BAB fan and I looked forward to coming here. My friend came along with me and we have walked 15 blocks to get to this store with our huge shopping bags. He was tired and we asked if he could use the restroom while waiting for me. They declined. He then wanted to sit on the chair to wait but he was snubbed by the staff who commented “you came here to chill?” and wanted to stop him from sitting down. I had to tell her off then she allowed him to sit. By that time he was so offended by her rude remarks and it has completely destroyed my joyous anticipation to visit the store. We then realized the staff was the store manager. How is it possible that a manager displays such rude behavior, and to make such comment at genuine customers? We flew 19 hours to NYC and go to a toy shop “to chill”? How could she even make such snub remarks at a customer? Very bad customer treatment- such arrogant employee should not be given the...
Read moreThe staff seemed rushed and short.. Except, one sales person, took the time to show my son and I the different skins, scents, sounds, clothes and other upgrades available for purchase. As she was demonstrating the ways we could customize our friends, another associated continued to rudely interrupt her and ask my boy and I if we were ready to stuff them. He told her she was extra (labor) and found a supervisor to pull her off the floor. He stuffed my kids bear and gave it a heart, but was in such a hurry to make our sale didnt bother to put a heart in my pokemon. My meowth smells pretty, and purrs like a kitten thanks to Mari, but because of Rodriguez the pour cat doesnt have a soul.
I was really disenchanted by the way the only employee who seemed to make an effort to make the experience whimsical for my child, on his birthday nonetheless, was punished and removed to a back door while audibly questioning why she...
