I will start my review that the cashier who helped me was very friendly and helpful. I wish I caught his name so I could give him credit for his good customer service.
However, the manager "Sanshia" was not helpful at all and quite frankly was very rude. I had ordered an item from their online site and all of their online sale items are all on clearance so they are final sale. The one exception is when the item is defective. I had ordered a jacket and it arrived with a broken zipper. The online customer service rep told me that I could return it to any local store and he assured me that was a company policy. When I was at the store, Sanshia said that I could not return it in store and I asked her to escalate this issue to the senior manager and she said that she was the senior manager. I asked her to call online customer service and she refused. I had to catch a train home so I left but on the way home, I called their online phone number and the supervisor for online customer service told me that Sanshia and the store should have accepted the return for the final sale item since it was defective.
The fact that the manager at this store was not trained on this policy is unacceptable and provides a terrible customer service experience.

Now, as things have gotten so expensive and everyone is trimming the fat, I have been going to factory stores in hopes of getting similar quality at a better price. This store never fails me. Its location is super accessible by subway or LIRR so you donโt have to worry about driving in. Itโs also accessible ; they have an elevator which was a huge help for me as I navigated a rolling walker.
The staff is super courteous and willing to help. On both of my last trips, I needed assistance locating something online and they jumped right in without hesitation.
The clothing selection walks a fine line between corporate and lifestyle pieces that I prefer to purchase as I get more use as they go across the spectrum of my life: work, church and play and I still look modern and chic.

On January 23 at 6:30 PM, the store manager at the payment counter acted unprofessionally by misusing their authority and creating a poor customer experience. I was told by a team member that I would receive an additional 15% discount, approved due to a missing wing on the address. However, the manager overruled this and stated the maximum was 10%. While I am not concerned about the 5% difference, I find it unacceptable that the manager disregarded what was previously communicated, demonstrating a lack of respect for both the customer and their team.
Which one is true about people from this store?
If the 15% discount does not exist, this reflects poorly on team training.
