⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wolfgang’s Steakhouse – Park Avenue 4 Park Ave, New York, NY 10016 📞 (212) 889-3369 🕒 Open Daily: 11:30 AM – 10:30 PM
When you hear a big-name chef attached to a restaurant, it’s easy to assume the hype outweighs the experience, but not at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. This iconic Park Avenue location lives up to every bit of its legendary reputation.
We arrived on a Friday night and every single table was packed. And it made sense the moment we sat down. From the crisp white linens to the impeccably dressed servers and team-like attention to detail, the fine dining service was on point, gracious, prompt, and professional.
The table shared the Porterhouse for Two (sometimes mistaken for a tomahawk), and let me just say, it was beautifully pre-sliced, perfectly medium rare, and ideal for sharing. But this carnivore girl had her eyes on the ❣️Ribeye. And I’ve had steak at all the major steakhouses, believe me when I say, I am not exaggerating: this was the best ribeye I’ve ever had!
Thick-cut with a gorgeous marbling, seared to create that rich, caramelized crust, and juicy beyond belief. Tender on the inside, with a slightly charred edge that locked in flavor like magic. It was Heaven on Earth.
As for the sides💗Creamed Spinach was a standout: velvety, but not overly rich. The German Potatoes❣️ (crispy skillet potatoes with sautéed onions) were absolutely addictive. The French fries were hot and crisp, though a touch under seasoned but honestly, who cares when the rest is this stellar?
To top it off, the staff accommodated our cake we brought, sliced and served our with a birthday dessert, complete with singing, making it feel like a scene straight out of a movie. This is where the elite dine, where you could easily find yourself sitting next to a celebrity or two. It’s classy, timeless, and worth every penny.

Read moreOff the bat, it's clear that service and perhaps even management prefers to maximize profit. If you're in a large party, you will probably get stellar service. That's cause at the end of the night, your bill will be sizable, and therefore so will the tip. If you have the misfortune of coming here in a small party, don't expect excellent service. I came here with my girlfriend for her birthday. To their credit, even though service was scarce, they were initially cordial and prompt. And that's OK. It's a busy establishment. I don't necessarily expect them to cater to our every whim. However, when I told our server we had brought our own cake, he asked coldly, "Really? you want to eat that here? You don't want to order dessert or any more drinks?" He then begrudgingly brought the cake over, cut us each a slice and took it away as quickly as he brought it. While we were eating the cake, one of the servers walked past our table and sneered the brand of the cake under his breath, and another server close-by snickered quietly. Quite frankly I was confused at their behavior, but understood when I got the bill and saw that they had charged us for cake service. Seems to me that the servers were upset about us bringing our own cake instead of ordering in-house so that their service would be reflected in the tip more directly, but we paid the cake service fee, and happily so. There was no need to be rude. Guess at the end of the day, if you want good service as well as good steak, you should go to Peter Luger's. At least there, they don't make you feel like you should rush an intimate dinner because they don't think your tip amount will be worth...
Read moreTerrible from start to finish. Our party of 7 had a 930pm reservation on Saturday night. Despite being there early we weren’t seated until almost 950 which isn’t a huge issue until at 957 the waiter is telling us that we need to order right away because the kitchen is closing and if we don’t we may not get our food. Are you kidding me? I thought this was supposed to be a high end steakhouse. We’ll come back to this point tho because it gets even more insulting. Throughout the meal the service was amateur at best. Wine was spilled on the table when being poured. Forks, knives and plates were hastily placed and removed clanking against glasses every time. One guy dropped food in my lap when removing plates and said something about almost breaking a plate with no apology about the food that hit me. We had to ask multiple times for bottles of water when they weren’t brought. Then at around 11pm a table of 4 walks in and is seated right next to us! I thought the kitchen was closing an hour ago?!?!? Sure enough they ordered food and it came right out. The waiter brought our check over immediately after we declined dessert and proceeded to hover over us looking to see if we put a card down yet, at one point grabbing the check that we had yet to touch maybe 5 minutes later as we were still talking. Mind you they had just given the other table their food and there was another table of about 12 people still eating dessert so we weren’t keeping them from closing. The food itself was mediocre and unremarkable. But the service made what could have been an otherwise decent experience an absolute...
