Dunkin' — Restaurant in Newnan

Our family drives past several closer DDs to get donuts from here every Saturday morning. Dunkins in general seem to struggle with consistency. We’ve rotated through DD locations in Fairburn, Peachtree City, Sharpsburg, and this location in Newnan over the 14+ years we’ve lived in the area but return here because the staff is friendly and coffee reliably hot and delicious. Donuts are the most consistent of any of the area franchises, but that’s a drawback when it comes to chocolate frosted. I don’t know what the Saturday donut maker does (I’m not a baker), but it tastes like they add powdered sugar to the batter. The result is flatter, denser donuts with a really unpleasant mouth feel; they instantly leave a coating on your tongue when biting into them. We get a couple of other yeast varieties in our weekly dozen, and those all have the normal, neutral-tasting, fluffy yeast texture. I don’t know why this problem seems to uniquely plague only chocolate frosted donuts, but it’s my reason for docking one star. It would be more fair to leave 4.5 stars, but it’s...

Busy place, at least 10 cars in the drive thru and about that many people in line inside too. 30 minutes standing in the line inside. Ordered an Iced Coconut Milk Latter, and got an Iced Macchiato instead. Waited while my order was prepared and watched one employee taking them posting pictures on his phone, another one bringing him something to eat, 3 people at the drive-thru window, thinking 2 were working, the other was distracting those two. The kid behind the counter could hardly hear people giving him orders. In spite of the busy place, watched a teenaged customer order 2 dozen donuts, 2 at a time…when she might as well had ordered 2 dozen assorted and he would have been done in way less time since he had to have her repeat everything she said… and when I finally got my food: my hash browns were mashed, baggie not full, and upside down in my bag. We have an unemployment problem people, and you’re thinking you’re serving the public appropriately. Where is the manager? I guess I know not to go back...

Very disappointing. The employees were in a hurry to change shifts and very unconcerned about the customers. The lady asked what I wanted and seemed pleased when I told her that I wanted a dozen donuts. When I told her I would point out the individual donuts I wanted she became rather annoyed that I wasn't getting all of the same kind. The only one who knew how to scan the coupon I had was working the drive-thru and said she was too busy to show my cashier how to do it. Another employee walked through the door as I was about to walk out, with my box of donuts and 2 drinks occupying both of my hands, and she just let the door shut as I tried to make it through after waiting for her to come in. It was a Wednesday around 4:30 pm. There were only 3 other customers in the store. I experienced being treated as an inconvenience by ALL the employees I interacted with. The only thing I can say good about my experience is that the donuts were fairly fresh and my iced coffee drinks...
