Went to this spot recently and ordered takeout from Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse in Newnan, Georgia, located at 101 Newnan Crossing Bypass. The experience was decent overall, though not without its flaws. The food, while not very appealing visually, ended up tasting better than it looked. It had a clean, balanced flavor, but nothing that really stood out as exceptional or memorable. For the price, which was on the higher side, I expected a bit more in terms of presentation and taste. The portion sizes were fair, and everything was cooked as ordered, but it felt like I could get something comparable elsewhere for less. The service matched the food in that it was fine but unremarkable. My order was ready on time, and the staff was polite, but there wasn’t any extra friendliness or effort to make the experience stand out. I’ would describe it as efficient, but not warm. While I wouldn’t say the experience justified the cost, the flavor was good enough that I’d consider coming back for another takeout order if I’m craving Japanese food in the area. Just don’t expect anything extraordinary in terms of presentation or service. For those who don’t mind paying a bit more for a decent meal, Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse is worth a try, but it’s not the type of place I’d go out of my way to recommend unless convenience is a big factor.

I was craving sushi and decided to try this place for the first time, but after this disgusting experience, I will NEVER go back. I placed an online order and walked in to pick up my food. The man at the front desk was sitting there CLIPPING HIS NAILS. He didn’t even look up to acknowledge me. I waited for three whole minutes while he continued this nasty and unsanitary behavior. First of all, this is absolutely terrible customer service—this is coming from someone who works in customer service. Second, this is unbelievably unhygienic, especially for a place that handles food! He didn’t address me, apologize, or offer any help. I finally had to go to the bar just to be helped. This experience left such a bad taste in my mouth—pun intended. I will NEVER go back and absolutely will NOT recommend this place to anyone. Completely unacceptable!”

1st time here, it was amazing!!! We ordered a California roll, very good and very inexpensive ($5.50, I believe). We were unsure what to get, then I saw the Feast for 2: $69.00 (2 HUMONGOUS plates of grilled lobster tail, scallops that were very tender and so big, delicious shrimp, steak cooked perfectly at MED with some chicken and served with soup, salad and white rice. We honestly could have split one plate as we literally had 1/2 on one plate and 3/4 on another plate for leftovers. AND it comes with an ice cream sundae for each person. Service was excellent, we had 2-3 servers checking on us. From what we could see, the hibachi chef put on an excellent show. While watching we thought it was going to be the same typical “egg roll, choo choo train” but it was not. Next time we will be sitting there. Thank you for a great experience!

Me and my husband has been coming here for 6 years and I will NEVER be BACK. The service was horrible they rushed me out they laughed in my face we looked online and and it told us they close at 910 and when we get here I ask for each for my salad they said they don't have ranch and before the cook was even done cooking they brought me the check and sat it in front of me and before i could even take another bit of my food not even 5 min later at 945 she comes and asks me to pay because they are shutting computers down and when I ask for refills only 2 out of my party of 3 got refills and when I went to ask if I could have a refill only tea she said they didn't have any tea they poured it out and when I asked for the refill we was still sitting at the table so they should not have even dumped it out I have always been a big spender in here and when we show him the card they husband JUST picked up it said they close at 10 and on the door there was tape over the closing time that No one could read. I would never go to this place In My life again. And When we told the owner about the problem he laughed in my face he Thaught it was funny that we got rushed out I didn't very refill and the time was wrong on the website card and all. And then when I showed him the card he asked what's the problem and I had to keep repeating my self so if u wanna go there go for it but I do not see any worth in it I spend 50 to 100 every time I come when I have the money and for them to rush me out I feel is super disrespectful !!!!! And on top of that i asked what was he gonna do to ensure me to come back he just laughed I don't see no reason an owner should treat customers lime that. And the show was boring as he'll I had to talk to the cook to get him to play with the food so to speak and worse thing of all in hate to say this but not hardly any of them in there under sttod what I was saying I feel if u come to my country to work or live learn English I would say I'm gonna miss it but there is other habacchhii places to go with...

the food here has always been great, however, the service has not been. Lately the customer service has slowly gone south... We have kind of overlooked it because we enjoyed the dish. But now I'm realizing, when we dine out it is for an all around great experience not just for a plate that tastes good. Today, my husband and I ordered our food to go. which had 2 sides of fried rice. we got to the car checked for the sauce that comes with it and there was none. my husbad goes in, comes out empty handed. The manager (assumption) told him 50 cents a peice. Which is not bad, but he was rude about it. So I go in, ask a lady and she tells me the same thing, so I asked why? when everytime we dine in it is free and they give you well more than needed. She gets the manager (same guy) and he proceeds to tell me, you don't pay you don't get it (multiple times with out allowing me to get a word in). I understood and would have paid for it, but when you are rude I do not want to give another penny of my money. So I told him I would bring the food in for a refund. He throws his hands up and says sure. So I got my refund, and told him I was sorry I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just trying to figure out why. He says that's the way it is, you don't want to pay for you don't get it... he acted like either i didnt have it or was being cheap... wow, guess we won't be back to spend our $70 + on dinner anymore. Again guys 50 cents isn't worth an argument, but when people are rude, disrespectful, and have an attitude like they do not want to help you, then that's a...

I can't believe this place has four stars! I ate here today, and I was so disappointed. First of all, the prices are high, even the lunch menu. I had the worst service - NOT ONCE did she come back to my table. The tables were too close together - two gentleman sat right next to me about 3-1/2 feet away. They were Asian, and the Asian waitress came and checked to be sure they were okay. She was between our tables and I was inches away from her but she just walked off. When my food came, she just threw it down and left as fast as she could without asking if I needed anything, never to return. And I am not prejudice - I adopted my children from China.

The tempura had not one speck of salt on it, and there was no salt shaker. When I went up to the very messy take-out counter they just pointed to a box on the bar top. It was dim so hard to see how much salt was coming out of those tiny packages. My tempura was good once salted, but again a salt shaker would have helped so much as it was either not enough or too much.

For the prices I would expect a little atmosphere! Maybe it was better in the part of the restaurant I couldn't see. And more tables to choose from and some blocked off in this time of Covid. And it's so easy to be friendly and professional and check on the people who paid $14 to eat there. I love Japanese food, so I was very disappointed and I don't think I'll be going again until more safety is offered. The tip would have been bigger had I had some service and...
