Not seeing any servers on the floor to ask for an update just after we ordered was pretty clear how this experience was going to go. Felt terrible for the table behind us as they had someone who was diabetic and literally had to get up, walk into the kitchen and seek out anyone who worked there. They asked for toast as they clearly needed food and their server brought them a pack of crackers. The entire family left but not until their server made them pay for their orange juice. After sitting and waiting for just over an hour for our food, we finally were served. That's when the server said "our kitchen is really backed up today." So, everyone in the restaurant was sat and were never told ahead of time about the potential long wait for food? That information needs to be shared with guests as soon as they arrive to the host stand so that we can make the decision to stay or leave. I understand things happen, the kitchen can get behind, etc. but if you know this, tell your patrons prior to seating them. And don't disappear and become distant from your guests when things are uncomfortable or going wrong either. That's your opportunity to recover the bad situation and make it right. There was a period of time that no server was on the floor for a while instead of engaging with their tables. Your guests should not have to walk into the kitchen to find help. And to top it all off, a huge piece of plastic in my drink. (See photo). We didn't even bother telling our server about it. I didn't feel like searching for her or waiting one second longer.

The only reason I’m giving it one star is because zero isn’t available. This location on Tanger is HORRIBLE. Throw the who restaurant and staff away. I took my grandkids here at their request after church. First of all there were a lot of people sitting I’m guessing waiting to be seated. There was a young lady standing waiting for a server to seat her or put her on a waiting list. I stood behind her. I waited about 20 mins noons ever came but there was multiple worker walking around and even looked our way. I stepped aside to look in the restaurant there were alot of empty booths and tables so the restaurant wasn’t packed. I waved for someone to come they looked and turned their head. A few other families came in behind me complaining as well. Finally another worker female whispered to another worker they laughed and turned away. My family 6 of us to be exact and several others walked out. As we drove off 3 workers who were inside minutes before we saw saw them outside smoking. I called the store for the manager but the phone just rang. That is tasteless you lost a lot of money this day bc of this behavior and for them to see the crowd brush it off and go out to smoke is just tacky and unprofessional. This whole crew needs to be fired. I will NEVER patron this place EVER. I wish I took a pic of the inside and how workers behaved

It was crowded, but we were seated pretty quickly. First, the table was sticky, so it wasn't cleaned well. The paper menus were crumpled and pretty used. I thought the paper menus, were supposed to be disposable. The server took a little long to even come and get us. The food took a long time to come out and when it did, we had to keep reminding the server about things we ordered and did not receive (grits, side of sausage, etc). All of the food was lukewarm when it came out. We had to ask for additional coffee refills. Two glasses of water that we received at our table had floating particles in them. Look at your glasses before drinking. I receive an omelet with beef in it when I ordered the southwestern omelet that comes with chicken. The manager took a while to come over to address it, but when she did, she handled it. The server blamed the kitchen when it was her who took the wrong order. I received another omelet at no charge. Food or service was not great.

If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. As my wife daughter brother and I walked in there was a man with a stick sitting in the lobby talking to himself stating he was going to hurt someone. We ignored it and continued into the second set of doors. A waiter was there to greet us and took us to our table right away. We told him about the gentleman in the lobby and he told his manager and the manager said to leave the guy alone and for us to ignore him... The waiter asked us what we would like to drink we ordered drinks as well as an appetizer. Our appetizer arrived to our table before our drinks. 30 minutes went by before the waiter came and asked if we were ready to order, we ordered. About 15 minutes later the waiter came back to our table and said I'm sorry I forgot your order and we had to reorder and he wrote it down the second time. We received our orders 30 minutes later and everything was burnt they cooked microwave bacon on a flat top until it was charcoal, the biscuits and gravy were cold and tasted like old chicken grease, the pancakes were dry and over cooked. The new Oreo waffle was on point. We asked for a manager and we're told the manager just go there and the cook that was cooking was the other manager. So they both came to our table about 10 minutes later. We stated everything that was wrong and the cook/manager said "well I noticed the bacon was hard due to whoever cooked it this morning" after he said that we asked why it's not cooked fresh made to order he refused to answer the question and they walked away from the table then one of the managers came back and said I took the waffle and one of the 2x2x2 off. I stated I wasn't looking for them to take it off but be aware of the food situation especially when we were the only 4 people ordering food.

All in all I will not go back to this establishment. I will go to another IHOP next time. Also the windows have wood rot from water damage and I guess instead of fixing the issue they just painted over the rot so pieces of the wall are falling apart of you rub against it or hit it with the...

We had breakfast at the IHOP in the Tanger Outlet on Wednesday February 26, 2020 - the food was very very good!!! Our waitress was also awesome! However, it took well over twenty minutes, before anyone seated the three of us, no one else in line, then we had to get the attention of one of the waitresses before we could be seated, at that time even our table was still rather wet and the floors also were very slippery. All of the waitresses was extremely busy trying to take care of the crowd already seated, so that is understandable, but a Hostess was not present!!

🤨 This is an update as of November 15, 2022. As you can see my last review was February of 2020, right before the pandemic hit the world!! 🌦 Today, as we were out and about, we wanted to finally have breakfast somewhere, we had groceries to pick up at Sam's that was ordered online. With that in mind, we decided to stop at IHOP again, 2 years later! Understandably, the pandemic has caused many businesses to not have the necessary employees to carry out their standards for their businesses. Upon arrival at the IHOP in Centre Point North Charleston, a Hostess again was not present to seat us, at this time there were about 5 to 6 people in line, we being number three. 😵‍💫 Eventually a Hostess showed up, and it very much appeared by her body language that she was annoyed, for maybe being sent to check us in or whatever was going on personally there. However we got shoved to a table and menus dropped on the table. 👱‍♀️ The waitress who would eventually wait on us, was sitting in a booth talking to her friends who eventually left and went out the restaurant. She was pleasant enough, and we were amazed that she did not have or use a pad, in which to write down our order, she actually remembered the order. However, my husband asked her if they gave a military discount, and she confirmed that IHOP did. 😖 But, when my husband went to pay out the military discount...

Absolutely terrible experience. From start to finish everything was awful. We had a party of 10 show up at 9:42am - at this time we were told that the air conditioning was down and that there would be a short wait. We were fine with this since our entire party was already present. 10:10am we were seated. Our drink orders were taken maybe 20 minutes after being seated, and brought out right after. Our food order was then taken, which the waitress stood at one end of the long table and yelled over everyone. Which was fine, at least we were being served. We were not brought any sort of refills for over 45 minutes, which at that time only 2 out of 10 people got a refill. Food started trickling out of the kitchen piece by piece after 1.5 hours. 6 out of 10 of the meals at our table were either made wrong, missing something, or completely cold upon arrival. 1 of us never received their meal altogether. We then voiced how unhappy we were and remakes of our meals started coming out little by little. We are now over 2 hours into this experience and asked to speak to the manager about the service. The manager seemed to care less about the issues and literally threw his hands in the air and walked away from our table. During this experience two other tables were seated in our section, both got their meals before us (still waited a long time to be served, and received the wrong meals and no refills). Those tables also complained. The manager avoided our section altogether. No one could seem to figure our bill out or tell us what we needed to pay to just leave, and ultimately split our bill completely wrong. We waited another 20 minutes just to get someone to get us our checks. Horrible experience and will never be going back. We were there over 2 hours, had to pay our bills, and received the wrong orders all while the restaurant was only maybe 1/4 full...
