2 experiences in 1 review. I went to Whiskey Chicks with a group of 7. We all watched the bar tender (Veronica U. Or Fern) look at us, then proceed to send a snap chat. We were not acknowledged for about 5 minutes while she snapped. The tables were sticky and the place was empty. When Veronica was done snapping, she had me walk up to the bar to get the menus.. after the appalling service the group decided to leave.
3 of us came back a few hours later (after a nice dinner somewhere else) for a drink or two. Veronica V. Mixed up two of our cards which was absolutely not an issue, but was definitely funny. She heard us laughing and when my friend politely asked “hey is there a way to fix this mix up” she immediately got defensive and had an attitude. She snarkily said “can you give me a minute?!” She proceeded to answer every question with attitude and actually told me I sounded like a chicken because of my laughter… not completely inaccurate but rude.
It was then I noticed that my bill had an automatic 20% tip added to it, which totaled $8. Call me old fashioned but I believe tip is based off the service given. I did not want to leave a tip after experiencing all of that. I told the security guard, Tony, that I would like to report a crime and that I’ve been robbed. He said that there was an automatic gratuity added if you use card. I asked where the closest ATM was so I could pay with cash just so I didn’t have to leave a tip. Petty? Maybe, but it’s all about principle. I walked across the street in the rain , got money from the ATM, returned and tried to pay. Veronica told me there was nothing she could due about the automatic tip and that I had to pay regardless. I paid with my card and left.
P.S… The bathroom had piss...
Read moreI went out last night for my birthday weekend. Ordered an amaretto sour. Told the bartender it wasn't good. It was way too sour and not drinkable and told her I'd like something else. She even asked if it was too sour and I said yes and she mentioned another person that ordered it and didnt like it either. She gave me a different drink. Equally as unpleasant but I dealt with it. Also ordered 2 different kinds of shots and they looked and tasted the exact same! Didn't want to stay after that due to how awful tasting the drinks were. I never have ever experienced drinks this bad in all my life. Went to pay the tab and saw she was charging me for the drink I sent back and didn't drink! Asked nicely if it could be taken off and she refused! I took it up with another bartender working there who was just sitting at the bar acting like she couldn't be bothered. Said the same thing. So yeah I told them what I really thought of their disgusting drinks and left frustrated and upset. They couldn't take one drink off I didn't consume? I never ask for things to be taken back but this was the worst drink I ever tasted. They both ruined my night after that and the rest of my evening was awful due to this experience. I will never be going back and I plan on fighting the charge with my cc company. Everytime I've entered this establishment it's usually always empty. Even on a weekend! Now I know why. Bad drinks and awful bartenders who obviously only rely on their looks to work there and not their drink...
Read moreWent there on a Tuesday. Looked like a calm night in the bar. We decided to order a couple drinks with a couple friends. When I got the check, that’s when things didn’t add up… first they swapped the checks and cards. We had people paying for things other people ordered. The bartender then got snippy with us as we asked if there was a way to fix the incorrect tickets. After that was difficulty resolved, we begun to look at our checks again. We noticed they add a 20% gratuity to the check regardless of how much you get/ many people in your party (we had 3 people in our party). Trying to discuss with her why the charge was there, as well as where is the sign stating that the charge would be applied (there is not anywhere), she continued to get more snarky and begun to be agressive with us. She as well said that all bars in OKC have gratuity added automatically. I don’t think that’s accurate either. She also threatened to call the cops on us because one of us in the party did not agree with the sneaky charge at all and refused to pay it. After some deliberation, deciding to just deal with it and decide as well not to return and suggest you not come as well. If you wanna deal with a snarky, passive aggressive bartender sure. If you also wanna pay a 20% gratuity too… but then again, apparently that’s all bars in OKC according to the bartender, Veronica/Fern. Also, disgusting bathroom too. The floor had standing...
