Sharky & Jack's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Orlando

Was there Friday December 10 and had not a very good experience. There was only one waiter who was also the bar tender and who spent all the time behind the bar. His unprofessional behavior would have been understood, but for the fact that there was only one party of 2 women sitting at the bar. He gave us the menus and proceeded to ignore us. I went up to the bar thinking that we had to order there since he never came out. When I asked to order, he became defensive and said that it was not clear that we were going to stay, even though we were sitting at our table for at least 20 minute, and that he would come out to take our order. No one else was at the restaurant. So he came to our table, took the order and disappeared behind the bar until the food came up. Then he disappeared again. Another dining party came in, and they also had to go to the bar where he was chitchatting with the two women. A third dining party came in and. also had to go to the bar to say they were ready to order. Each time he sent them back to the table just like he did us, and came to take the order never to be seen again except to bring food or drinks. So in reality, he did require people to go to the bar to initiate ordering food, drinks, etc. But his attitude was one of “don’t bother me I’m the bartender, not the waiter”, attending and talking to the two women and one other guy who came in and sat at the bar, while we were at the restaurant. Because the food was great, I had a steak sandwich which was delicious and my husband had a hamburger which he thoroughly enjoyed, I suggest the restaurant get dining waiting staff, tell diners the truth, that they have to order at the bar, or get a different bartender who is willing with so few people at the restaurant and bar, to treat dining and bar guests the same, something totally achievable with only two parties at the bar, and 3...

Dinner experience gone WRONG.

Overall: bad attention, ugly place, 2 guys running the whole place.

The story:

We arrived 9.05, there was just 3 tables occupied and one guy (not so well dressed) told us we will need to wait 20 minutes because they had a big table.

Well, despite is not the best experience we decided to wait, at the end, having a restaurant in the hotel is convenient.

While walking to the table we checked the bar, was so dirty, but we still decided to wait, our food was not coming from there (check the attached photo).

35 minutes passed, and the same guy come and told us they were closing the kitchen. I tried to kindly ask I have 2 kids, was late but they were not even going to take my orders because they were full.

We felt horrible. End of the story. We needed to go and change, leave the hotel and find some...

First of all, all of the negative comments about the BARTENDER are all false. What people fail to realize is that he is a BARTENDER running the entire food area by himself. Not server or waiter or cook. He is the BARTENDER. The food was questionable but the service from Chris (the BARTENDER) was exceptional. I had an amazing experience. His vibe and personality are genuine and truly fit that of the inviting menu and atmosphere of the restaurant itself. Definitely no complaints about the har or bartender or his service. Would coke back again...
