Just went to a VEGAN restaurant for the first time at #thaikitchen #orlando #florida. Their “chicken”(NOT actual chicken) Pad Thai was so freaking good. When I ate their “chicken” it tasted like the real thing, and texture wise it felt the same. I really felt like I was eating meat. I didn’t feel deprived or like something was missing. Their peanut sauce for their spring roll was so good, they paired really well. The restaurant itself is very humble and it’s not in a flashy location. The price was expensive for me. 23 dollars for a plate. The trade off is that it’s a vegan recipe that taste like the real thing, in fact, just as good as the real thing. Also the portions were HUGE. So yes I did spend 23 dollars for a plate but I can eat the leftovers probably 2 more times so my logic is I’m getting 3 meals for the price of 23 which is not that bad, and their delicious and healthy. It’s not easy to be a successful restaurant, especially if it’s a vegan one, so I can understand the restaurant being small and simple and the food expensive. Overall, I give the restaurant a 5/5 and...
Read moreFood way okay. I ordered Vegan Thai Fried Rice, Vegan Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. One 3 Spring Rolls in 1 plate, I was expecting at least 4. Fried rice was very chewy and the pad Thai was too sticky. Overall okay Thai food as compared to my experience at previous Thai restaurants. Service was very poor. Didn’t served water m, had to ask for it. Which was still fine until they asked me how many glass of water do I want. Mostly every restaurant serves a glass of water for each guest. Finally, I asked for extra plates to eat the food and they appeared to be very hesitant in give me, in fact the server even asked me why I can’t use the plate under the soup bowl. Ambience was...
Read moreSo, this place was super good the 1st 3-4 times we visited. However, we started to notice the food came out really fast. Found out that it's ALL microwaved when we ordered to go our last visit. The container was piping hot and the rice noodles were stuck together. Very disappointing for $25+ a dish. If they actually hired more than the family of 2 to work or at least put the blogger son (who just sits at the table using an umbrella to hide his computer activity) to work they might be able to make the food fresh to order. Overall the food is up and down on flavor, just isn't worth...
