If you’re looking for a cozy, vibey spot with amazing food and even better energy, look no further than Alana’s Tapas Bar in Palm Springs. This place is small in size but massive in charm, so I highly recommend making a reservation—and be sure to specify whether you want to sit inside or outside. The space fills up quickly, especially on weekends.
The atmosphere is seriously cool—intimate, eclectic, and just the right kind of lively. The food? Unique, bold, and packed with flavor. Every dish we tried felt like it had a story behind it, and it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in their craft. The tequila selection is also a standout. Trust me, try it—you’ll notice it’s something special.
Despite visiting on a crowded Friday night, the service was on point. The staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely seemed to care about the experience we were having. It’s definitely on the higher end in terms of price, but absolutely worth every penny.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Alana in the past, and she’s just as sweet and engaging as the place she’s created. Alana’s Tapas Bar is one of those rare spots you leave already planning your next...
Read moreDivine! Someone already said it Alana is elegant and chic. My family and I had been wanting to try this cute tapas place and we couldn’t be happier that we did.
Facing heinous lines at other establishments down the street who couldn’t get their bar seating together despite a full staff and a 20 minute line, we walked down the street fair/village fest to find Alana pleasantly not busy, demure, and inviting with its all black comfortable bar chairs and Malibu vibes.
Zane was a fantastic bartender and our crafted cocktails were magical. What looks like Sprite is actually a healing mezcal and cucumber drink with a Hindu name I’m not great at pronouncing. Highly recommend. The margarita also delicious and strong.
We had the Papas Bravas and the Tacos Barbacoa. The flavors of each were unforgettable and above expectations. The papas had a subtle taste of cinnamon or something perfect. The tacos were juicy and tasty. Seems like a high touch Mexican or Spanish place.
Sorry we should have taken photos of the food! We ate them too fast.
It quickly filled up while we there and they close late at 11. Servers and host were attractive and kind and most...
Read moreWow! Great evening at new bar & tapas spot, Alana. Killer cocktails- all with additive-free spirits and with house-made syrups. Great tacos, charcuterie, seafood and more. This place is a taste of the latest bars in Mexico, from a family that has defined Mexican cuisine in the Valley. Gracias Alana y su familia! You opened your home to us once again!
Cocktails: We had the Palo Fig with mezcal and house-made fig soda, the Tomatini with gin and green tomatillo, the Oaxacan Negroni with mezcal and coffee-infused Campari, and the stellar Maracuya with mezcal, Suze, blanc vermouth, passionfruit and clarified sour cream. Wow!! All the drinks were superb, highlighting all the ingredients and proudly using a simple garnish. According to La Jefa, the Maracuya is life-changing!
Food: Started with the oysters, served with epazote (minty Mexican herb) hot sauce and salt (essential for that taste of the sea). Also had the papas (potatos) con chile, and both barbacoa (grilled beef) and shrimp tacos. No desserts on the menu yet, but they're...
