Bleri’s Beanery Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I went in for the first time today on an impulse (I was on the block and figured, "why not?" Plus, they had a sign outside listing there drink specials and I was intrigued by their Honey Bear Latte.

I went in, the place was super cute, nice contrast with dark and light decor (dark floors, tables and chairs, with just the right amount of light wall color), and ample seating was available.

Quick service, short line. The baristas were very nice and warm (even in the small encounter I had ordering).

I received my small, hot honey bear latte and went on my way. The drink had a nice amount of foam and was very good. What took me by surprise was that the hot drink didn't burn my tongue! I usually don't order hot lattes or drinks because I burn my tongue every single time, but not this time! They took the care to make sure the drink was hot but not scalding, which I very much appreciate and it also went into the overall pleasant experience I had.

When you come to a neighborhood Cafe, you come to be part of a community and it all starts with the welcome! I've been coming here here for weeks, have a punch card that reads: we love our locals...I'm up to my 9th hole punch in the card and still no greeting, no warmth no sign of remembering I've been here before spending money in the eyes.. nothing. No smiles just a hand extended to take your money and give you coffee.. should be robots... a café without warmth closes quickly. It should feel like a second home, a place where you'd want to come write, a landmark, a place that inspires you..... oh I'm gonna keep coming til my 11th punch ( that's how many times I've been ignored until my free coffee) let's see If they have the decency to realize I'm been a frequent..... maybe LOCAL represents something else entirely. I wish I worked here for a day, I'd show them what welcome...
