First experience at the Buzzed Bull Creamery. We stopped in based on a quick internet search for an ice cream without any expectation. The Buzzed Bull novelty is that each customer can create a one-of-a-kind ice cream or milkshake combination that is created in realtime using Liquid Nitrogen. And the adventurous can also opt for an alcohol infusion.

Of our party of five, I was the only one that decided to “get buzzed”. I ordered the death by chocolate (chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, brownie and some chocolate sauce on top with a shot of chocolate vodka.

The handcrafted aspect makes this a little slow, so don’t expect a quick order and out the door. It was a little frustrating that this is another one of those places that pushes a tip process right at your check out. Maybe I’m old school, but this doesn’t feel like a service that should get a tip.

Even though the name was death by chocolate, I’m surprised to say my ice cream really didn’t have that much depth of chocolate taste. Yes, there was a subtle hint of alcohol in the background.

Bottomline this is not the type of place I’ll come to again. I’ve experienced the novelty once. The ice cream just wasn’t that great. And as you might expect with the hand crafted label, the cost is pretty significant. If you want a unique experience with tasty treats-this is the stop for you! The ice cream was SO yummy! You can choose to add alcohol (very wide selection of different flavors and even high end bourbons) or just get a fancy mixed in cup or milkshake. They use nitrogen to keep it cold while they use a stand mixer to smooth everything into one. They fill the cup up and pack it in. They have pre mixed suggestions or you can create your own. The owner was very nice and helped us choose what route we wanted to go based on what we liked. It was cool to stand at the counter and watch them make the different concoctions. I’m not sure why now is the first time we stopped here, but it is definitely something we would repeat often. When I started planning our family vacation about a year ago I searched for good places for treats. The Buzzed Bull Creamery came up on the list abs once I saw they had a fight of boozy ice cream to try I knew it was a must. I even put a bunch of stars next to it on my list. Let me tell you it did not disappoint! As a girl from Wisconsin "the drinking capitol of the world" ( as stated by the guy behind the counter) this place was so good, my kids loved their death by chocolate, and fruity pebbles ice cream, my husband got the tiger stripes and I don't think I've seen that man finish ice cream so fast. So even if you don't drink this place is amazing the staff is beyond friendly and if I don't go to any other place I put on my list I would be just fine with that having gone here was good enough for me.
