Our family and I want here over the weekend for our family trip. This place has the worst customer service in all of Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. There was only one lady working while we were there and she was very rude. She refused to give myself and my daughter samples. We spent over $20 altogether and she refused to give us samples and acted like it was a burden to wait on us. She was not helpful at all we were trying to find fudges and chocolates. She rang up everything together inside of it individually which Is what I wanted. No other No other stories inGatlinburg and pigeon Forge rings up taffy and Twinkies together in the same order they should’ve been separate we are paying for them separately and we got out of the car. Then I was frustrated because we are the first ones in the store when nobody else was and she didn’t even wait on me she waited on people that got there after me which is uncalled for. She gave these four women samples and carried on with them while my daughter and I stood there waiting. My daughter then asked her for a sample and she shook her head and my 10-year-old daughter and gave her a dirty look are you kidding me. I wanted to walk out but I didn’t want to break my daughters heart who wanted to get candy absolutely worst customer service. We will never be coming back to this place and let me tell you I will tell all my friends not to come here sad really because it’s a pretty shop but they’re way better candy stores in Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge I hope that you read this and I hope that they change their customer service because that was just...
Read moreI was having a mad craving for lemonade, so we went in to Farmhouse Sweets to see if they had some. They do have lemonade, on the "ice cream side". It was refreshing & not too sweet, but there was some confusion from staff about how to serve it because the people who worked the "ice cream side" were not working. I mean, the lemonade was in one of those recirculating machines that dispenses drinks when you push a cup against a lever, so I'm not sure why there was confusion. We ordered 2 pralines, 2 small toffees to try & the lemonade and we were told our total was $28. The 2 small toffees were $18 a pound & the employee working the cashier insisted that 2 small candies less than 2 inches long weighed in at over 1 pound. She didn't seem to understand her mistake & wasn't terribly interested in correcting it. It took another employee, a manager possibly, to come over & explain to her what the error was. It took some work, but the mistake was corrected, the difference was refunded & we were able to leave with our lemonade & sweets. The toffee was very good. It was dusted with a cinnamon sugar churro flavoring. However, the pralines were just kind of..."meh". They had none of the caramelized, deep buttery praline flavor. They were bland, like the sugar wasn't cooked enough to make complex flavor that traditional pralines have. The lemonade that was the start of this entire odyssey was tart, refreshing & not overly...
Read moreWe stopped here for Taffy!!!
it was around 9p, maybe a little after.
Directions: It was easy to get in to, as it is located just past a traffic light, (AND, there wasn't any traffic coming out of the l parking l1ot).. we hooked a u-turn at light and then a right into the parking lot. it is a small parking lot. Getting out, we chose to go out the back of the parking lot and hang a right onto the side street, then a right at the stop sign, onto a street that took us out to a different traffic light on the parkway. there was little to no chance of getting back on parkway from parking lot, due to traffic. out the back way ..easy peas-y!
This place has a MASSIVE selection of candies and a wide variety of taffy flavors.
the layout is kinda weird... like, we had trouble figuring out where to pay when we were ready to leave. Out of the 2 employees working (both were busy sweeping and cleaning up, presumably getting ready for closing), neither said a word to us until we were leaving and only then, did 1 one said she would ring us up over there [pointing vaguely toward an area]. then rang us up, side from that and reading the total out loud, that was the extent of...
