Ā Ā Ā Read moreIād give ZERO stars if I could. Absolute WORST service EVER!!! I have never written any type of review before but this one deserves it. Iāve been a server for YEARS so I understand when youāre in the weeds, yet I still leave a nice tip. We were out celebrating THREE birthdays, and from the get go our server was not friendly at all, just kinda like what do you want and took FOREVER to bring our drinks. Again not really a problem at first, but still inconvenient. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time. We had 6 people with us, 5 meals came out. Food was good I will say that, but one meal was missing. Manager came by apologizing saying āit was burntā and ādidnāt want to serve thatā. Yeah I know that trick lol. Then minutes later our server came by saying someone else took the steak that was ordered. So which is it???? Manager was nice in the beginning, said he would put a discount on all 3 separate tabs for the inconvenience. Okay great, thanks no problem. Werenāt really expecting anything. We all finished our food, and her steak was still missing. Since we knew our server would take forever to come back, we went ahead and asked for dessert, boxes and the check. Finally brought out boxes, still waiting on the steak. Our server not once checked on us. It takes like 2 seconds to walk by and be like āyāall goodā? Nope. And also not a single thing was cleared off our table the whole time. We were waiting FORVER and I mean FORVER on the dessert. We paid on the tablet thing on the table, after our server explained with an attitude that we pay on that and that was the last we saw of him. No apology, no entertainment, horrible service. We finally decided to leave the restaurant without our desser after waiting like 15 minutes, because I mean absolutely ridiculous and we had kids with us. I waited at the hostess stand so we could explain that we were just leaving without it because we were just over it. Of course as soon as we got up there, it was brought out. Manager Rudely was saying how basically he did all he could by conversation, apologizing and putting a discount on our tabs. I explained to him that Iāve been a server for years and this was a horrible experience. He said āokayā. Worst Birthday outing EVER. It not about the $$$ because I got money, it the service and respect. Do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst Try. Went because of recommendations, 11pm close time, and affordable steak selections. Tip: Order steak rare if you like medium rare, they are thin. New item I ordered was the $22.00, TBone, 16 oz, it was flavorful, but could have pre trimmed the fat a bit more. Came with 2 sides, I chose red beans and rice, flavorful, and coleslaw, meh, a bit dry. There isn't any complimentary bread or anything, but I saw a sign that offered online registrants free chips.
As an appetizer, I ordered the only soup on the menu, loaded potato soup. Thicker than soup, but loaded with chewy bacon bits and cheddar, and of course big chunks of potato. Pretty tasty.
As a drinker, I prefer to sit at the bar to get faster service and some conversation since I am solo.
Service started out ok with 1 experienced 30 year old gal that was engaging, and one 23 year old neophyte that was coming down with the closing time-itice. Experienced one checked out and the 23 year old disappeared in the back for 15 minutes just as I was trying to pay. I'm not sure why bartenders and servers don't immediately drop a coaster and silverware, but that omission happens alot when I dine out. I had to ask for silverware and napkins after I was served my appetizer. Some bars are so relaxed and professional because of training and properly assigned duties making them seem customer focused.
Cheddars bartenders, however, are battling glass washing duties, never able to look up to visit with patrons, make suggestions, or add on sales, My recommendation- glasses should be bused by a bar back and wisked away to the back of the house dishwasher for a proper hot sanitizing clean cycle, leaving the bar keep engadged.
Drinks: Beefeater Martini was $10.00 good drink, but missed the lemon twist twice. Nice and cold, Hope the glass was clean.
In summary, I recommend Cheddars. I would go again. The atmosphere was better than most, warm, brick decore, tasty food priced right, other patrons food looked delicious, like the pasta and croissants and salads. Service is always hit or miss at this level of restaurant, which I would put a step above Chili's, Applebee's, and...
