Went out of my way to come here as there are no locations near me (California). I was looking forward to coming here as the milkshakes look amazing!!! However, I was greatly disappointed. 1. The workers are rude & have 0 socialization skills. Upon walking in, no one greeted us & it took another 5 minutes of us standing there before we were even acknowledged. While waiting to order all we heard was the workers complaining the entire time, or having inappropriate conversations with one another. 2. The wait time is horrendous!! We came on a weekday in early afternoon to hopefully beat the evening rush. It was still a 30 minute wait for our 1 ice cream. They weren’t even busy, there were maybe 3 other tables, but the employees would rather talk than work. 3. The order was completely wrong. We ordered the peanut butter & brownie bliss. However, what we ordered was not that. Initially it looked right, however it was covered in soooo much whip cream we didn’t realize it was not the right dessert. We asked the employee if it was correct, and she rudely said “…yeah!”. I mentioned there was no peanuts, or peanut butter. She said she could give it to me on the side, or I would have to wait for it to be remade. At this point I was over being there & left without eating much of the ice cream. This place is just for pictures, but other than that the ice cream wasn’t even good & the overall experience was terrible. I recommend going to the Apple Valley Creamery!! Better ice cream, better service & much cheaper!

Ok...so...it's a very cute, crazy Milkshake that was tasty. But...Crazy Mason is MUCH better. And no, I don't work or advertise for them. I've eaten at the Crazy Mason in Gatlinburg 4 times and The Yard once. The Yard is more expensive for starters and the eating area is too small. They don't have a detailed menu inside explaining shakes and ingredients. Just photos. I'm not sure if they don't know how to mix milkshakes, use too much milk, or have oddly melting ice cream, but the shakes are runny. And not 100% runny. Like, 80% of the shakes are milky and then there are some Thicker spots. The milkshakes are spilling everywhere when you get them because they are so runny. You can see this by looking at more pictures. I noticed it when looking at others pics, but assumed whoever was taking the pictures just waited to long or made a mess. No, it's how they make them. They don't give you big thick straws. Regular straws aren't capable of allowing the ice cream ingredients (like oreo pieces) to pass through. Drinking the small amount of thick milkshake section was impossible...but most was practically milk anyway....just had to eat the remaining ice cream with a spoon. They get 3 stars for being friendly, quick, having creative designs, and decent tasting ice cream and toppings...

First time in Pigeon Forge or ANYWHERE for that matter and going to the Milkshake Yard was a MUST for us. Absolutely couldn't wait. Paid $100 for fancy Milkshakes . But the problem was, the teenage girls who are working there, seriously need to be fired or have someone older to help manage that place better. I have a medical condition that's called bells Palsy which is where half of my face is paralyzed.. Those teen girls kept giving us hateful looks and I sure don't appreciate that after how far we traveled and how much money we spent there and even though they gave us snarky looks, we still remained KIND to them. But we WONT go there again. Also a group of old ladies, Im not sure if they were locals but kind of acted like they knew the place well so I may just be assuming but they were sitting at a table staring at us for 10 min because I took a picture of the ((((YARD SIGN))) on the wall and I just felt completely embarrassed and felt uncomfortable 😔. I don't understand how this hateful ice cream place is even still in business. Also, the donut on the coffee milkshake was stale, tasted like it was a week old. Ice cream itself is watery. $20 each for watery stale shakes. Looks pretty, but didn't taste how it looked. They are definitely fooling a lot of people. Wouldn't recommend

I had a… puzzling, experience here this evening. First off, atmosphere is great. Menu is clearly laid out.

Hubby ordered one of the March specials, a blackberry milkshake. I ordered a peanut butter brownie ice cream, and our daughter just got 2 scoops of ice cream in a cone. Our total came to $57, which was insanity. I knew it couldn’t be right, but there was a line, my toddler was toddlering… I should have questioned it then, but I didn’t. I paid cash.

After sitting down and examining our receipt, I saw that we were charged for 1 unicorn milkshake AND 1 blackberry milkshake under the same order/person. Making my hubby’s order a whopping $35. The $17.50 was bad enough. So, I went back up to the counter since the line had dissipated.

The employees were very sweet. But they clearly did not know how to give a refund with the clover software. They ended up refunding me my entire order, and handing me cash, then re-ringing it up.

The issue is, because they were flustered/didn’t know how to refund, they only handed me $50 of the original $57 order. So when they rang it back up to the correct price of $38ish, I only got a $11 refund, when I should have gotten a $17+ refund. The issue was, we were all so confused by the refunding the entire order, and me paying it back that I didn’t even figure out HOW I was out $6 until I sat back down. I decided it would (hopefully) just be a $6 tip at the end of the night and let it go. I couldn’t really contest it because they kept my original receipt (order #33) and didn’t give me a second receipt. Then, as I was cleaning my mason jar, I heard the employees having to refund someone else, and, yet again, we’re refunding the entire order and re-ringing it up. Hopefully they got theirs correct.

After all of that… my daughter enjoyed her double scoop of strawberry and rocky road. My peanut butter brownie was ok. Wouldn’t necessarily order again, but was edible. My husbands blackberry milkshake was not good. It was incredibly bland, there was no discernible ice cream in the milkshake (it was thin like just milk), the cup was very small, and there is no way we’d pay $17 for it again. Will we come back for just ice cream? Maybe. But I certainly hope they can figure out their POS software for the sake of clarity with...

I heard so many good things about this place and was so excited to try it. Our first attempt was on Saturday night, we arrived at 8:45 and they were scheduled to close at 9pm. We were inside standing in line and we were told at 8:55 the couple in front of us would be the last ones served. We were already inside and it was not yet 9pm. But, we left without a problem and said we would just have to try it another day. We came back on Monday evening. There were four of us, everything we tried to order, we were told I am sorry we are out of that ice cream. I finally said can you just tell us what ice cream you are out of. The lady was very nice and showed us the list, they were out of nine flavors. She was very polite and said we could still order the milkshakes that we were wanting and they could substitute another flavor of ice cream, she made some suggestions and even gave us samples. We all ordered, they were brought to our table. One was missing the cookie and brownie on top and was not made with the ice cream that was picked. I personally walked it to the counter and explained that the order was not correct. Another lady took it and my receipt and said she just forgot the toppings. Plopped a half of brownie and a cookie on top and handed it back. I tried to tell her that it was the wrong ice cream, but they were really busy so I just went back to the table. Only to find out that one of the other milkshakes was made with the wrong ice cream as well. We all just decided, we would just eat them, they still looked absolutely delicious! But, they were not. There was more whipped cream than there was ice cream. Totally disappointing experience, especially for $92! That is not a typo, $92 for four milkshakes. We were totally ok with spending that if we would have gotten what we paid for! Very...

(TLDR: Don’t waste your money here)

I have never been more disappointed by a milkshake in my life. Walking in, I was standing at the counter for 7 and a half minutes straight before anyone even acknowledged I was there. There were at least 6 people working, so even the slightest bit of help would have been wonderful. Once I had to get the attention of someone myself, I was answered in a cold and disrespectful way. Not the slightest ounce of hospitality that you’d expect from a business in Pigeon Forge. With tax, the Dolly Parton milkshake I ordered was nearly 20 dollars. For reference, Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium in the middle of the tourist trap of Universal Studios in Orlando that serves the exact style of shakes this place has, has milkshakes that cost just 16 dollars with tax. Then, I waited 32 minutes, far surpassing the 20-25 minute expected wait… Only to find that the milkshake I ordered was one of the most disgusting desserts I have tried in my life. It was bland, yet managed to have a bitter taste. Beautiful to look at, yet handed to me already starting to melt and dripping everywhere. It’s a pity that Dolly Parton would have a milkshake this bad named directly after her, saying that the food at her dinner shows and Dollywood are so much better. The only redeeming factor here was the lady, who seemed to be either a team leader or manager. She was incredibly kind and cheery as we were leaving, and helped us ensure we would not make a mess in the car with our shake. Her dedication to customer service is admirable, and is the only reason I left 2 stars rather than 1. Regardless, do not spend...
