I had a⌠puzzling, experience here this evening. First off, atmosphere is great. Menu is clearly laid out.
Hubby ordered one of the March specials, a blackberry milkshake. I ordered a peanut butter brownie ice cream, and our daughter just got 2 scoops of ice cream in a cone. Our total came to $57, which was insanity. I knew it couldnât be right, but there was a line, my toddler was toddlering⌠I should have questioned it then, but I didnât. I paid cash.
After sitting down and examining our receipt, I saw that we were charged for 1 unicorn milkshake AND 1 blackberry milkshake under the same order/person. Making my hubbyâs order a whopping $35. The $17.50 was bad enough. So, I went back up to the counter since the line had dissipated.
The employees were very sweet. But they clearly did not know how to give a refund with the clover software. They ended up refunding me my entire order, and handing me cash, then re-ringing it up.
The issue is, because they were flustered/didnât know how to refund, they only handed me $50 of the original $57 order. So when they rang it back up to the correct price of $38ish, I only got a $11 refund, when I should have gotten a $17+ refund. The issue was, we were all so confused by the refunding the entire order, and me paying it back that I didnât even figure out HOW I was out $6 until I sat back down. I decided it would (hopefully) just be a $6 tip at the end of the night and let it go. I couldnât really contest it because they kept my original receipt (order #33) and didnât give me a second receipt. Then, as I was cleaning my mason jar, I heard the employees having to refund someone else, and, yet again, weâre refunding the entire order and re-ringing it up. Hopefully they got theirs correct.
After all of that⌠my daughter enjoyed her double scoop of strawberry and rocky road. My peanut butter brownie was ok. Wouldnât necessarily order again, but was edible. My husbands blackberry milkshake was not good. It was incredibly bland, there was no discernible ice cream in the milkshake (it was thin like just milk), the cup was very small, and there is no way weâd pay $17 for it again. Will we come back for just ice cream? Maybe. But I certainly hope they can figure out their POS software for the sake of clarity with...
Read moreI heard so many good things about this place and was so excited to try it. Our first attempt was on Saturday night, we arrived at 8:45 and they were scheduled to close at 9pm. We were inside standing in line and we were told at 8:55 the couple in front of us would be the last ones served. We were already inside and it was not yet 9pm. But, we left without a problem and said we would just have to try it another day. We came back on Monday evening. There were four of us, everything we tried to order, we were told I am sorry we are out of that ice cream. I finally said can you just tell us what ice cream you are out of. The lady was very nice and showed us the list, they were out of nine flavors. She was very polite and said we could still order the milkshakes that we were wanting and they could substitute another flavor of ice cream, she made some suggestions and even gave us samples. We all ordered, they were brought to our table. One was missing the cookie and brownie on top and was not made with the ice cream that was picked. I personally walked it to the counter and explained that the order was not correct. Another lady took it and my receipt and said she just forgot the toppings. Plopped a half of brownie and a cookie on top and handed it back. I tried to tell her that it was the wrong ice cream, but they were really busy so I just went back to the table. Only to find out that one of the other milkshakes was made with the wrong ice cream as well. We all just decided, we would just eat them, they still looked absolutely delicious! But, they were not. There was more whipped cream than there was ice cream. Totally disappointing experience, especially for $92! That is not a typo, $92 for four milkshakes. We were totally ok with spending that if we would have gotten what we paid for! Very...
Read more(TLDR: Donât waste your money here)
I have never been more disappointed by a milkshake in my life. Walking in, I was standing at the counter for 7 and a half minutes straight before anyone even acknowledged I was there. There were at least 6 people working, so even the slightest bit of help would have been wonderful. Once I had to get the attention of someone myself, I was answered in a cold and disrespectful way. Not the slightest ounce of hospitality that youâd expect from a business in Pigeon Forge. With tax, the Dolly Parton milkshake I ordered was nearly 20 dollars. For reference, Toothsomeâs Chocolate Emporium in the middle of the tourist trap of Universal Studios in Orlando that serves the exact style of shakes this place has, has milkshakes that cost just 16 dollars with tax. Then, I waited 32 minutes, far surpassing the 20-25 minute expected wait⌠Only to find that the milkshake I ordered was one of the most disgusting desserts I have tried in my life. It was bland, yet managed to have a bitter taste. Beautiful to look at, yet handed to me already starting to melt and dripping everywhere. Itâs a pity that Dolly Parton would have a milkshake this bad named directly after her, saying that the food at her dinner shows and Dollywood are so much better. The only redeeming factor here was the lady, who seemed to be either a team leader or manager. She was incredibly kind and cheery as we were leaving, and helped us ensure we would not make a mess in the car with our shake. Her dedication to customer service is admirable, and is the only reason I left 2 stars rather than 1. Regardless, do not spend...
