Fish-San — Restaurant in Portland

We came to Fish-San's soft opening during snow still on going in Portland. Immediately were we greeted so politely and were absolutely stunned by how beautiful shop! The art mural behind the lovely staff and interior is just so stylish and cozy! I heard Animal Crossing Lofi playing in the background as the person in front greeted and offered menu. So many delicious options! My partner went with Salmon-Don and I went with Unagi-Don for Takeout and so we waited which honestly wasn't too much. Soon as order came we were so stunned by how beautiful the packaging was!! And adorable Fish San in the reusable toot bag! As we got home to finally take a bite, my goodness was so delicious and fresh!!! My Unagi was so soft and fatty and so RICH and ahh that sauce so YUMMY!! The rice with it was so soft and delicious!! My partner and switched rolls so I got to try their Salmon- goodness, what a melt in your mouth Salmon it was!! Dropped into this little gem in downtown Portland today! Fish-San has it all: delicious sushi made fresh, an adorable and cozy atmosphere, lofi beats that feel like a feel-good anime, and lots of little Asian drinks and snacks.

The roll I chose today was their Inside Out roll. It consists of shrimp tempura, avocado, topped with ebi, avocado, sweet chili sauce, sesame, and green onion. The entire roll had such a lovely flavor and consistency! The tempura was so crispy, and the sweet chili sauce was a great companion for it. I can't remember ever having sweet chili on a roll before, but I think this may be a favorite now!

I loved that their sushi rolls came in a recyclable box and the soy sauce came in a nice little container with a hinged lid. They also give packs of chopsticks with dental floss and hand wipes. Will definitely be returning for...
