Kimochi — Restaurant in Providence

Overall: Friendly people, chill atmosphere, music is relaxing, cute little boba tea stuffie and backdrop to takes pictures with, prices are mostly standard. Boba tea is overall good, still a new shop so I expect things to only get better. The mochi donuts are to die for!

Long Review: First time going, the coconut boba tea was tasty, slush was super thick without being icey, thicker than most I've had! Right amount of sweetness, and the boba itself was tasty and had good texture.

I've went a few times after and the boba tea has been overall decent, often missing the creaminess and flavor of the first time and what other shops have mastered. Let me be clear, it's not bad, if it was, I wouldn't keep going, especially to try their interesting specials!

Mochi donuts are still absolutely amazing, providing that interesting chewy texture of mochi with the combined dough. I’ve been to the Attleboro location many times and loved it. This location, though? Ugh.

Went on a Saturday night at 7pm. There were numerous events going on downtown, but Kimochi only had 1 employee working - and no fault of her own, but she seemed to be VERY new. It took her 5-10 minutes to make a single drink. When we came in, we were the first in line with about 6 others waiting ahead of us - from entering the door to getting our drinks, it took over 45 minutes.

Until management/ownership takes staffing seriously, I won’t be returning.

Kimochi is so good! I would recommend going here. By far my new favorite bubble tea spot located in downtown providence. I have been a numerous times and have tried a variety of their drinks. My favorites so far are the Taro or Honeydew milk teas, as well as the Lychee or Peach Fruit teas (I always get the green tea). Every time I go they seem to have a collection of mochi donuts that they get delivered every morning, some of my favorites that I've seen them carry are the Girl Scout cookie Samoa, the Twix, and the lemon poppy seed!
