My husband and I were there over the weekend. We thought we would grab lunch before hopping on the jet express. We sat outside, of course, it was a gorgeous afternoon. We started noticing water snakes swimming by. I, myself, am deathly afraid of snakes. So of course I was freaked out alittle, but my husband kept telling me they were out in the water, they can't get up close. Not 5 minutes later we were asking the waitress if that was normal to see that many and she said they come up on the lower decks to sun bathe(about 3 feet below us, right next to our table) . We looked over our railing and one was crawling up under our table.... I took off screaming, ran out of the place and my husband paid the check quickly and we left without finishing our lunches. We were so disgusted, and my husband isn't even afraid of them, but he was disgusted. We saw about 50 snakes, they were crawling up the sides of the restaurant, swimming passed, they were every where! The people sitting around us was also disgusted and wanted to move tables. The Key's have to do something about there snake problem, because I know we will not be returning until they do something! So if you don't like snakes, don't go there. If you do...this is the...

When you approach, it looks like a tourist place, and I suppose it is. But you must give credit where it is due, and the food we had (Monday late afternoon, September 7th), was really awesome, and better than we expected. We started with conch fritters, and they were as good as any we've had anywhere. I had the grouper rueben, and my wife had the lobster sliders. Both looked very appealing, and tasted to match. The reuben was on a marble rye, toasted to perfection. The sliders had plenty of lobster in them, and were very tasty. The side salad my wife ordered looked like something from a craft restaurant with a local garden. She was too full to eat it, so I saved the day there, and really enjoyed it.
Looking at the reviews, I don't know if they are consistently this good. They are in a tourist spot, and clearly depend on some student labor. But they were on it this day, and the food was...
Β Β Β Read moreI was really looking forward to eating here. The first place I went to eat on my Sunday evening arrival They sat me on a long the water which was a nice gesture but way too windy. I couldn't keep my hat on, and my server never came out to acknowledge me (whoever that was supposed to be). It was slow enough that they all had time to stand around and talk, though.
I went to the hostess after approx 10 minutes and asked to be seated inside, out of the wind. And a server waited on me right away. I mistakenly ordered fried shrimp which was nothing that I couldn't have got at Long John Silver's. I also ordered a pina colada that may have been the I have worst ever had. (And I've had plenty of all inclusive resort drinks). Beyond way too strong no taste of rum, pineapple or coconut. The server did take the drink off the bill. Disappointed to say the least, although I did like the live music. And ask my server what time they closed, he said 9:00. I came back later for a drink only to find out they...
