Count your change. The kid at the cash register tried to short me. When I was clearly counting my change before I pulled away, he quickly said 'oh I think I forgot two dollars.' :/
The burger was a rare thing for me. I have never been a McDonalds fan. But, I was stuck in traffic with children at a terrible time and thought I would try the quarter pounder. Gross. I honestly don't know why anyone would willingly eat that excuse for 'food'. The burger looked like it was made to resemble a burger patty, and was mostly salt and seasoning. Who knows what the substance was making up the 'meat'. The cheese was a bright, neon yellow...ew. The whole thing was barely warm and I guess sitting around a while before they stuck it on a bun and nuked it.
One star because the fries were OK. I actually ate them instead of throwing the rest in the bag like that 'quarter pounder' (shudder)
I got sweet and unsweetened tea mixed half and half because I use only light sweetener if any, and low quality tea needs help. McDonald's tea is low quality. I did not expect much. But at least it was not sour or have a scorched taste. The tea was still incredibly sweet even after mixing it.
I have brought my kids here to play on only a few occasions over the several years we have lived here. We always get a small snack or something but usually not much 'food'. The playground has always had a light that makes this horrific buzzing sound. You would think that would get fixed. Its like the beginning of a bad horror movie in there!
The customers are usually young and on a laptop or screen, the parents I have encountered are always unsmiling and sometimes even rude. Once I met a woman who was so nice, but after asking why she was confined to a wheelchair (she seemed to want to talk about her condition, I thought she had ms) she explained that she had nerve damage brought on by diabetes. I noticed the mound of food she was still munching on and the towering shake she was still drinking. Granted I've been here only a few times, but in the times I have been in this place I end up feeling like I've witnessed a part of why the USA is so damn miserable.
Please, for all that is...
Read moreDrive Thru experience is straight up trash. I've been here many times and the order is wrong 50% of the time. First, it's very difficult to hear the person on the speaker, making it nearly impossible for me to understand what they are saying. The voices are muffled and difficult to understand. Second, there's been multiple instances where the person taking the order simply doesn't care about the customer or their job. The attitude that I get from these staff members has been borderline insulting, and makes me just want to skip the line, park the car and just order inside the store.
Let's get to the order itself: The success rate of the order being right is about 50%, so I would suggest that you fully check the order on the screen before moving forward. Once you pass the payment window, it's impossible to change the order, even if it was their mistake. Once you get to the order receiving window, make sure you take the time to check what's in it. It will be wrong 50% of the time.
On one occasion, I ordered a strawberry shake with no whip cream, two hashbrowns, an OJ, sausage McMuffin, and sausage n cheese biscuit. I received a strawberry shake with whipped cream, 4 hasbrowns, and a sausage biscuit with no cheese.
On another occasion, I asked for no mayo on a McChicken. Unfortunately, they did not take that order correctly, and so it was not indicated on the receipt. Once I got to the order pickup window, they told me to go back to the back of the line and reorder it because they can't give me a sandwich without Mayo because that's not what was on the receipt.
Food quality has been less than stellar at this Mcdonalds. Half the time I order a pie, the product is stale and dried up as if it's been sitting somewhere for a month. Fries are always less than half filled, and they simply forget to give you things unless you remind them.
It's sad that this place has turned into such a disappointment. Please go rehire your staff or retrain them. It's...
Read moreTheir remodel is a total failure as far as I'm concerned! McDonald's just spent umpteen thousand dollars 'upgrading' this place, but it's money not well spent. Sure, it looks nice inside, new tables, floor, ... However, they replaced the sevice counter with a half dozen of those stupid kiosks, got rid of their self serve soda fountain, and locked the south most entrance, so you bow need to walk all around the building to get in. And let's talk about how unfriendly those Kiosks are! The touch screens are almost insensitive (I swear i almost broke the screen trying to even start my order!), the information is hard to find, and oh, the pushing of items I don't want is really annoying! What use to be as quick as saying "#1 with a large diet coke" took 5 minutes to place on the kiosk. I've been sitting here for a bit while typing in this review, and nearly everyone else using the kiosks had similar issues. Note this is my local McDonald's. I've eaten here hundreds of times over the last couple of decades. I'll probably continue to do go thru the drive thru despite my experience today(although I really want to rip someone's head off the next time they ask "Do you want.to use the mobile app?"). However, I'm boycotting going inside from now on. I suggest you too do the same until they fix things! There are lots and lots other more friendly places within easy walking distance. By the way, a recent study showed people tended to order an average of 10% more on...
