Waited an hour for our food, waitress too busy sitting down and socializing to even tell us our food was taking so long because a large group came in before us, or even acknowledge us when we needed refills on our drinks, or tell her the kids didn't get their cherries for their Shirley Temple's (half the reason they wanted the ST's). Watched others arriving after us eat and leave before us. My food came 10 minutes before the other 4 in my group, two of which were special needs children. I wasn't about to eat in front of the kids when they were hungry, so my food got cold. Eventually spoke to a manager, who said it takes 30+ minutes to cook pasta. Really? Google says about 15 minutes. The other 2 adults had salads, but didn't get them til after we asked about them from the server who brought everyone else's main course food out. One of the adults in the group ordered GLUTEN FREE pasta because she has a sensitivity, but there were REGULAR NOODLES mixed in with it. The only good things were the food tasted decent and after complaining to the manager, we got 20% off our bill. Bottom line, none of us are ever going back.
So... Got kids, don't go here Got a food sensitivity, don't go here Don't like to be ignored, don't go here Don't have a lot of time, at least don't order any pasta, or even a calzone here Like your salad to come out before your main meal, don't go here Like cherries with your Shirley Temple's, don't go here Don't want b.s. excuses,...
Read moreI was visiting from Reno, NV on a work training and I couldn't convince myself on a dinner meal. I almost skipped dinner altogether and was only going to run on my one meal from earlier that day, but that's when I drove into a shopping center and found "Art's Place." This place seems pretty pricey, but their food is not like any other American style restaurant. The server(Daniel M.) was very inviting--greeting me from the moment I stepped into the building, sharing a menu for me to review and answering my many questions about their pastries(tiramisu, mouuse cakes etc.), And their Italian sodas and of course the main dishes. The employees were all very happy and just seemed to work like a team, the cooks were singing in the back and communicating about orders, the servers were addressing other customers coming in for pick-up, and the waiters were cleaning tables, and attending to entering customers.
The Italian raspberry soda was tasty, it was flavorful. Worth the 5.00, their tiramisu pastry was also good, it was fluffy, moist, and not overpowering in one flavor--creamy, sugary with a hint of coffee. The fries were crispy to perfection and they were flavorful also, they didnt just taste like a potato. And their burger was also juicy for a...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience we had last night at Arts Place. Waited to be seated for what felt like an eternity while a lot of staff seemed to be aimlessly wondering around. We were seated at a booth which was nice but it felt like we were being ignored on purpose. Not 1 staff member made eye contact or came up to our table to greet us or to bring us drinks. Finally I was able to flag a waitress down to take our complete order. We ordered calamari, Kids cheese pizza, Calzone, Salmon entrée and a few drinks. Calamari came and looked like it had been fried in oil that was extremely old. The consistency of the Calamari it's self was flavorless and extremely chewy. I decided to pass on it while the family finished it off. Waited awhile for our dinners but I understood since calzones take a while to cook. Food arrived a short time later and what disappointment of everyone's dishes. Calzone was not a calzone. It was a burnt pizza crust folded over. Kids pizza was over cooked and had barley any cheese. My Salmon was completely overcooked and drenched in butter & salt. I did my best to enjoy it but I just couldn't get past the taste. So I had it boxed up. No one liked their food and we agreed not to return. Bill total with tip was...
