On Saturday 3/30 I had 2 of my daughters with me & they had been wanting to try Ike's so we called my husband & other daughter, told them to look at the menu. We got there, I ordered their 2 sandwiches first. 1 was a custom & 1 was a "756". 2 sandwiches. My other daughter wanted pretty exact same, a "756" with no condiments , 3rd sandwich & then I ordered James & the Giant Peach something, 4th sandwich. Last my daughter, who is several inches taller than me, gave her order to the clerk taking our order. This sandwich was different than everything else previously ordered. Clerk said, total is $57. Sounds about right. I didn't pay attention to how much each individual sandwich was. "Would you like your receipt or save some paper?" I said no receipt was fine. We sat & waited for our order. Came up fast, got a bag handed to me with a bunch of napkins & suckers on top. 5 suckers might I add. We get home, to EG, from Sac, & only have 4 sandwiches. My daughter who ordered last is missing her sandwich. Its near 7pm & this is already a late meal for us. I call the store after looking up their info at 6:59, they close at 7. Someone answers and says " We are closed call back tomorrow" & hangs up! Why answer the phone at all if thats what you're going to say!! I call right back & the line picks up but all I can hear is people laughing and yelling. I get back in my car to drive to Ike's. I know from working just nearby they stay a bit after. I continue to try & call back & finally a female answers & I tell her I am missing a sandwich from an order. She is laughing. It sounds like she is being tickled. Again, don't answer the phone to be unprofessional. She tells me she will get her manager & then puts me on hold. 2 minutes go by & some guy comes on, doesn't say hello, doesn't identify himself as a manager, & says "so you're missing a sandwich". I said yes I just came in with my 2 daughters we ordered 5 sandwiches, we were given a bag, only 4 were in there & I need to get my other sandwich made. He said what is your name. I said Stephanie. He said Steph or Stephanie. I said, I said to your clerk Stephanie, I don't know what he put into your register & I did not get a receipt to "save some paper". He said you only ordered 4 sandwiches. I said no I ordered 5 and started to give him the scenario of how we just ordered above. He hung up on me. Now I was talking loudly because I was driving and I was on speaker phone. I called back, the female answered again, & I said your manager just hung up one me. She said "its hard for us to hear you". Ok then how about, we cannot hear you?, your connection is breaking up, can you call back? Hang up on a customer describing the issue was the answer from the manager. She put the manager back on and he said "What sandwich can I charge you for?" Whoa. What? So not only did we read off an order to you & you didn't even put it in, we are having to drive back for it so a 12 year old gets to eat $10 sandwiches like the rest of her family but now I have to pay again for it? It should have been charged the first time. Had my original order been $67 or $70 I would have paid it. At this point I killed your staff with kindness while I was shown none in return. I told the "manager" that I didn't know what the sandwich was called because it was a custom one, she read off her order to his clerk. Maybe he would know. Hung up on again. At this point I'm about a block from the store & so I just park and walk in. Again I have this guy, the "manager", "so what sandwich can I charge you for?" I tell him the order from my phone because my daughter had to text it to me again. The only person who seemed genuinely like they felt bad was the clerk who took our order. When the manager was literally ringing me up for this sandwich, he said which one was missing? I said the one my tall daughter read off to you, wasn't even included in the order. He held his head down, didn't make eye contact with me again and made the sandwich. "Manager" rung me up and left, didn't hand me my receipt, not a word. Girl was...
Read moreI recently ordered two sandwiches through their app, and I have to say, they exceeded all expectations. Not only was the app user-friendly and efficient, but the team preparing my order demonstrated incredible attention to detail.
I ordered the Jeff Garcia on Dutch Crunch bread with specific requests: no ranch, no honey mustard, no dirty sauce, no tomato, and provolone instead of cheddar. Every single detail of my order was executed perfectly. The bread was fresh and had that signature crunch, and the provolone substitution elevated the sandwich’s flavor profile to perfection. The lettuce was crisp, and the overall balance of ingredients was impeccable.
The second sandwich, the Menage A Trois, was an absolute masterpiece. With double meat, Dutch Crunch bread, and a selection of freebies including lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles, it was loaded with goodness. I requested the bread to be extra toasted and added extra BBQ sauce, which they meticulously included even though it wasn’t a standard option. Every bite was flavorful, juicy, and satisfying.
What impressed me the most was their meticulous attention to my specific instructions. Often, special requests can get overlooked, but not here. They followed my instructions to the letter, proving their commitment to delivering a perfect experience.
These sandwiches were not just meals; they were crafted with care, precision, and a focus on customer satisfaction. I can’t recommend them enough. If you’re looking for a place that takes your preferences seriously and delivers an outstanding product, this is it.

Read moreWhat an awesome place. Been to the San Francisco location many times before when I lived in the bay and this one is pretty darn close. I ordered the Jaymee Sandwich. It had fried chicken, lettuce tomatoes, with their Dirty Sauces in-between a Dutch crunch bread. Chicken was awesome.. The bread is awesome. They are known for their Dutch crunch, it's nice a fluffy and not hard like some sandwich places. I also ordered the fried zucchini and a drink. It was pretty good. Its a small location with few seats and I can only imagine during lunch hour throughout the work week, it's worse.
I gave it 5 stars because it was a great great sandwich and the taste was there... Staff was awesome no gripes. HOWEVER, if I were to find anything that maybe they could change is the size of the sandwich and the portion of the fried zucchini. For $10.... I was expecting a hefty sandwich, the SF location had some pretty big sandwiches when I use to go there, although it filled me up... But I'm a fatty, so that didn't effect my score. Another thing is the portion size of the fried zucchini. For almost $5 ($4.96) I got, what they called "Fried Zucchini Coins".... I would've expected ALOT more for $5.
One last thing. They. Never. Gave. Me. A. Lollipop. Everyone else got one.... One of them even asked if another customer if she wanted one.... Nope..not me. Haha. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it did make me feel left out.
Otherwise, great sandwiches!! Only other 5 star sandwich place for me would be Timmy's Brown Bag in Placerville... This one is just...
