My boyfriend and I came here for Cinco de Mayo. It was sprinkling when we were in line so they had a pop up to cover the people working the front for ID checks, bag search and cover charges. The pop up had a huge rush of water come down while waiting in line and soaked me, but I guess that’s what you get for having a temporary solution for the rain. The cover charge was $10 that night and and they searched my bag and gave my boyfriend a pat down. Once inside it was packed and full of mostly young dancing people. There was a water station to get yourself a cup of ice cold water. There was a live DJ and fun lights as well. When it came to the bar we had to wait a bit to be helped because it was so busy. Once we got the bartender’s attention we ordered 2 canned beverages (not sure what they were but it was a special for that night). He came back with one and said that was the last one so we had to pick another drink. We ordered a Margarita as a back up, and he actually came back with another canned drink he found in the back of the fridge. He gave us the second can free of charge, so we got 3 drinks for the price of 2. Total came out to around $20 for the 2 drinks. Now came bathroom time shortly after the drinks. The women’s side has 3 stalls, but one of them was out of order. There was plenty of toilet paper and seat covers, however there was a ton of trash in the smaller stall. Like wadded up toilet paper and extra seat covers thrown in the corner for some reason, but they didn’t look dirty or wet and did not smell so that wasn’t the worst pile of trash I’ve seen in a public bathroom. Now when it comes to washing your hands there is a communal sink area (where my picture is taken with my boyfriend) where both men and women come out to wash their hands. One of the faucets was broken so sometimes you had to wait for a sink. There was also a booth available to sit down in when our feet hurt from standing. All in all this was a fun place with good service and reasonably clean for having a full house on Cinco de Mayo!

LowBrau is a staple for a night out. Depending on when you go you'll get a different experience. Some nights they have house music, electric music, pop music, etc.. Depending on the dj and the night you may get a lot of people dancing or it might feel kinda dead. Their themed dance nights are so fun and I think when they are busier. Motown Monday gets very very packed but the music is made for dancing and the energy is great for meeting new people. I've enjoyed all the drinks I've gotten here but my go tos are their ciders and the bees knees cocktail. The only food I've had here is their fries which are tasty so I'll have to check out the food menu sometime. Definitely come check it out on your next night out or if you wanna sit on the patio during the next nice weather day with your friends. The patio is also dog friendly and the location is so convenient.

Positive Highlights

Bartender Excellence: The bartender truly stood out, offering exceptional service throughout the evening. Attentive, quick, and respectful, he played a significant role in enhancing the overall experience. His professionalism and efficiency ensured that guests were well-served and satisfied with their drinks.

DJ's Performance: The DJ also deserves special recognition for his outstanding performance. He kept the energy high with a well-curated selection of music that resonated with the crowd. The atmosphere he created contributed to a night of good vibes and enjoyment.

Security at Check-Ins: Kudos to the two security guards managing the check-ins. The guard handling the pat-downs was notably respectful and polite, making the process smooth and stress-free. His professionalism was appreciated. The other guard, responsible for ticket checks, was efficient and ensured that entry was orderly.

Venue Ambiance: The venue itself was well-received. There was a good crowd, with a notable number of attractive individuals, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. Despite not being overly crowded, the vibe was positive, and everyone seemed to be getting along and enjoying themselves.

Areas for Improvement

Rude ID Check Security Guard: Unfortunately, the experience was marred by one security guard at the ID check station. His approach was unnecessarily rude and confusing. Initially asking for tickets and then abruptly demanding IDs created an awkward and unpleasant interaction. This lack of clarity and politeness needs addressing. His demeanor can truly turn off customers and make them not want to come back.

Incident with Security at the Booths: Towards the end of the night, an incident occurred that significantly impacted the overall experience. After having a few too many drinks, I sat at a booth to sober up. A security guard, identified by his glasses, approached and insisted I leave, despite the fact that I was not causing any disturbance and the booths were otherwise empty. His lack of concern for my well-being and authoritative attitude was disappointing. Instead of checking if I was okay, he chose to be dismissive and rude. Fortunately, my friend intervened, defusing the situation and ensuring I could leave without incident. This interaction left a negative impression.

Conclusion In summary, the venue had a mix of high and low points. The bartender and DJ were outstanding, and the initial security check-ins were handled with respect and efficiency. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, with a good crowd and enjoyable music. However, the rudeness of one security guard during ID checks and the inappropriate handling of a situation at the booths were significant downsides. If not for the excellent service from the bartender, the great music, and the good crowd, the negative aspects would have heavily impacted my overall rating. Improvements in security staff training and customer interaction are needed to ensure a consistently positive experience...
