We took a friend's daughter here to celebrate her 19th birthday because she loves sushi and karaoke. Her mom set everything up online with her credit card, that they supposedly keep on file but when we were arrived, they didn't know anything about it. We were worried that they were going to charge her card, along with her daughters credit card because they allow you to reserve & pre-order the food for the room, on their website. Apparently the establishment doesn't even know about their own website. She didn't call for a manager or anyone else, to at least help us figure it out because we did have some extra time before our reservation. Eventually, WE were able to figure it out & put another credit card on file. I wasn't comfortable with it but what do you? She took us to our room, a few minutes early. They gave us a description on how things work w/ the karaoke stuff & showed us the QR code for the menu & a service button Told us to set a timer, for 2 hours because they do charge, if you go OVER the time limit & She mentioned she was starting a timer as well but she didn't say that she was starting it before 6:30. After all the confusion & questions that we never got answered & not telling us certain things, we got charged for an additional 13 minutes. It might not have been a lot but she should have told us that she was starting the timer early. We didn't know anything until we went up there to get our credit card and ID. I was focused on celebrating this young lady, who is away from her family, on her birthday, out here attending college. It wasn't about them but they still made us pay for it & I felt they were only worried about themselves. This establishment says that you should get there a little early & we were there before they even opened. If they charge you extra for going over the time limit, then she should have told us that because she started it. This place is really nice & I will give them credit for that but the staff we were around, were cold & not very friendly people. They did not look like they were happy to be there or happy to even have a job. I did not see a lot of smiles. I think that some things were overpriced & the service and people are not the nicest. The food was just ok. It wasn't the most enjoyable birthday, for a young lady, who is away from her family, attending college in California. It was my family's job to make sure she had a good time. The part that she loved most was the karaoke so we definitely skip dessert, so she could enjoy her time, & took her someplace else, so she can get whatever she wanted. This specific dessert place is one of my favorites & have been going there for quite a few years now. Gave them a rating as well. We actually had to wait, in a VERY long line, for almost an hour, before we got our dessert. But I will say it was worth it.!!! The birthday girl was very happy with what she got, the service was amazing, everyone acted like they were happy to be there, they enjoyed working with the customers. That's the type of stuff that I really enjoy. I can only hope that this sushi...
Read moreThe guy at the front was so rude he told us we couldn't get another hour and the other girl told us we could then he came and kicked us out and started yelling at trying to start a fight with us also you can't even pick any song you want it has to be one from their system this place sucks and i tried to order mochi ice cream and none of them knew what flavors they have this place was ridiculous but the guy in the front even brought the security with him to yell at us they got so bothered they banned us they even yelled at the girls when we weren't even saying anything and i have really bad anxiety so he made it really bad i had a really bad anxiety attack because of them.. very unfortunate because we came to celebrate our friends birthday i hope no one comes to karaoke night here because the staff doesnt care about their business the guy at the front told us he was in charge so it didnt matter of other staff told us we could pay for another hour he said he wanted us to leave. Also judging by the way the owner is replying to people in the reviews they do not care about making sure the customer feels at ease they care more about talking back than doing anything to help. I feel like we were being attacked and targeted because of our race. The moment we got there he was talking to us with an attitude. I'm so upset my chest still hurts because of the amount of anxiety I experienced. Also instead banning people for something so minor you should change out your staff to a friendlier staff. As the owner you shouldn't be so rude replying to everyone in the reviews they are trying to tell you there's something wrong with how your staff is behaving and you don't care and try to say anything you can to try seem like you're in the right but there's nothing right about allowing your staff to treat customers that way your staff needs to learn how to handle situations like these and talk politely instead of yelling at us they were in a working environment they need to behave professionally. I'm sorry if I misgendered someone but it was the person working at the front on 11-29-2024 / 11-30-2024. Again no one was underage and no one that didn't have ID was drinking it was our last hour and some of us forgot we couldn't take in beer into the room and instead of politely reminding us your staff came in raising its voice telling us we couldn't do that and as our people were getting out the room to go drink outside the host or whatever it was and the security guard kept telling us we need to leave instead but of course the owner is probably going to comment back saying it was all our fault instead of taking accountability for the type of staff they hired. Such a...
Read moreThe karaoke is great and the staff was fun and helpful… I will warn you DO NOT GET SUSHI HERE. Eat before you come and enjoy singing. The food was overpriced for not great sushi (which was fine and what we expected). What we did not expect was to take a bite of a roll and pull a insanely long hair out of our mouth. Like I cannot communicate how long this hair was and by the time the whole thing was pulled out of the mouth we all ended up feeling quite uncomfortable and ill. I gently explained what happened to our server and she seemed concerned at first but was asking about what color the hair was and I went to bring the roll to her and she kinda snapped that she hadn’t asked for the roll or had offered to take it back and I was a bit floored. We hadn’t ask for a comp or refund or anything, I simply came to talk to her as a person who worked in food and simply suggested they have sushi chefs with long hair tie it back or wear a hair net so they don’t get reported. She was unsurprised by the hair and when I looked up other reviews today multiple people have eaten or found hair in their food there and not been handled or comp (or just fixed by having staff follow basic hygiene procedures required by the health department). They didn’t offer to replace or comp which I thought was odd but again we didn’t want to make waves. When we went to leave they sent a small mochi ice cream to “apologize” and said multiple times it’s was free (though all of us were too afraid and ill to touch any food at this point). As we were leaving they put the ice cream on a tab for one of our friends and argued with them for a long time he needed to “pay his bill” before we leave and it was confusing and upsetting. Again, karaoke was fun and the staff coming by the rooms were fun and sweet and the drinks are fine and cost about what you’d expect for a night out… just DO NOT order any food as this appears to not be uncommon here and clearly not something they plan to or have addressed...
