Fantastic local specialty coffee roaster, you can buy coffee by the cup, or the pound for home consumption. The owner Ryan buys high quality single origin coffee varietals, I personally favor the east African selections, the sweet and wonderfully acidic Malawi is my favorite, this afternoon I purchased the Indonesian Sumatra Mandheling and I look forward to grinding and brewing this heavy bodied gem. The offered selections are unique and consistent with a knowledgeable coffee connoisseurs liking as opposed to the basic coffee's you will find at most other coffee shops. Now, buying fine green coffee is only the start, if the coffees are not roasted properly they will lose some if not all of there specific attributes, well no worries here, Ryan roasts each individual batch carefully and properly, the coffee is roasted consistently, not over roasted as is often seen by others, if you split the roasted bean in two, note the inside and outside of the bean are roasted at the same level, in other words he does not scorch nor bake the beans. The full character of each specific, unique coffee is on full display in each and every cup. I can't forget to mention the wonderful staff, each and every person that has helped me has been a pleasure to...
Read moreOwner tried kicking someone out by physically pulling a chair out from under someone while they’re trying to sit down then threw a tantrum when I told him that’s not how you treat people. Learn how to treat everyone like humans, there’s always someone watching.
Edit reply to owner: you need to treat everyone like humans whether they’re homeless or not. I don’t need to do that to make myself feel better about myself, it makes me feel bad when I have to go outside to tell someone that’s not how you treat people and ruined my day. I never “attacked” anyone but the owner probably felt that way because his hands were trembling and shaking uncontrollably when all I did was tell him that’s not how you treat people.
I have no reason to lie about this, if the owner wasn’t doing anything wrong then what reason would I have to go outside and say something?
That’s really funny you said you’re watching me, clearly I was not afraid of you even when you’re much taller than me trying to stand over me and get all close when you speak trying to punk me and scare me but your hands were...
Read moreAs close to a perfect coffee shop as you can hope to find. Prices are at the low end for St. Pete, and their coffee/tea selection is standard, with optional mods. It has some pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and bagels, and a light lunch menu.
There are tables along the storefront, and ample indoor seating. There are also WAY MORE electrical outlets than I have ever seen at a coffee shop! Wifi is free and FAST (50/20 MB/sec.) It has a slightly bohemian vibe, with restful music that doesn't compete with conversations or calls. They even have a jigsaw puzzle under construction, if you want something to do with your hands.
I was there at 11:00 am, and it was nearly empty, but I have seen people chatting and sipping every time I have driven by. The staff are also really nice! If you're in the area and don't want to drive miles to another coffee shop, give it a try. I think you'll like it! Open until 5:00 pm M-F, and 2:00 pm...
