A better burger experience than can be had at most burger chains, detracted mainly by a long wait. We visited outside of peak lunch hours on a saturday. There were hardly any cars in the drive through, so I thought it would be a quick experience. The menu has a lot of good options, and I've seen rave reviews of the salads and such. I chose to try a bulgogi burger combo and swap the drink for a pineapple smoothie. The prices are fair. The ordertaker was very hard to hear, so I guessed my way through ordering. We then waited for almost 25 minutes for our food in the drive through. The cashier was very friendly and quick. My food held up well to a 15 minute drive. The burger was delicious, it had a bulgogi-esque taste that really made it stand out. The fries were mediocre. The onion rings (which were a welcome surprise, I thought I was just getting fries) were pretty good. The fry sauce was unique, with a kind of smoky taste. The pineapple smoothie was delicious, definitely the best part! The food more than made up for the ordering experience, though be ready for slow fast food if you visit.

The food flavor is the only thing that saved a lower rating. Wanted chili cheese fries with order. Ordered a cheese burger combo and asked for chili cheese fries and would pay the additional upcharge. Server went to the back, came back and said, "we don't do that." OK, told server ok then I am changing my order and ordered cheese burger, drink, and chili cheese fries.... no combo. She said, "I just told you we don't do that for combos." I replied, I didn't order a combo, I ordered a cheese burger, drink, and a order of chili cheese fries. She left and came back and rang it up a la cart. We were with friends who ordered directly in front of us. Our food came 26 mins after our friends food was delivered to our table. At the time of ordering we were only customers in the restaurant. Drive thru was crowded, but we ordered in front of all those people so I am wondering what tool so long. At least the food was hot and tasted well. Will not go back on next visit to SLC because of the service and time to get the food.

First time coming in. I ordered the California Burger, and it was delicious! It had that good amount of greasey meat, but enough vegetables to not make you feel sick afterward. Fry Sauce: they said they have the best, but so does everyone. I dipped a fry in and immediately had to grab another. Their sauce is comparable to Chick-fil-A or Raising Canes. So good! And I'm not a sauce person. Atmosphere: When I came in at 12, it was quiet with a few people sitting around. There is plenty of room inside and a few cute tables outside. The live plants add character to the almost generic burger shop. The service was good. There were a lot of teenagers that came in around 12:30. Building: it is a little run down, and the decorations are not perfect. There is no wheel chair ramp, and four stairs lead to a door that is difficult to open. They are trying to make it into a classier place, which I applaud in a more rundown area. Overall, it was a great experience. The food and service outweigh anything negative.

Ever since COVID 19 has happened and alot of businesses cut their business hours down, have spaced customers out by at least 6 feet or more, and have changed their dining room rules and alot of other things on how the business is run all together, I think it's awesome when businesses like this one... California Burger.... 💋☮️🤍💛☮️💋 Have an option for their customers to be able to continue eating at their businesses and at their locations. Thank you California Burger!! For allowing your customers to choice to continue eating at your business!! I personally know ALOT of people whom happen to be friends of mine, that LOVE EATING AT YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!! AND I'm thanking you for allowing us to be able to use your drive thru.. even when we do not have a vehicle or a bicycle. It can be frustrating for a person that does not have a vehicle. And some of us ride bikes and sometimes we like to walk. Most of us choose riding bikes as our choice of transportation. It's healthier and great exersize. So thank you for your awesome and delicious food and for giving your customers the option to use your drive thru. You're all amazing. And are very much appreciated!! Just sayin' the cotton candy ice cream cone is the shiiiiiiizle niiiiizle!! And the dollar amount is excellent too!! Don't pass up the dessert menu guys!! My goodness.... You will be missing out on some yummy ness if you do!! Lol hahahah lol... This is also a family owned and operated business by the High School. The family is friendly and awesome... Always very helpful and fresh food is served quick and always hot off the grill and french fries, deep fried mushrooms, onion rings are always fresh and hot. Wonderful!! Have a blessed life and I'll see you all soon... Asalaam peace ☮️🤍💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛🤍☮️ Loving and appreciating you...

I’ve been coming here for several years I’ve always enjoyed the Philly Gyro. I happen to come down to Salt Lake for work in the evenings, tonight I came down at my usual time arriving at the store at 8:40 PM on Wednesday evening, doors were closed and doors locked, lights were dimmed, they were still accepting drive-through. I knocked on the door and managed to convince the young man who is very kind and friendly to let me order my usual.. The owner his father was very upset with him because he let me in. I confronted the owner and expressed my anger and frustration that he was not open until 9 PM that’s the hours he posts for his business. His response was none too friendly, he has attitude and always has, he does not seem to appreciate customers. The Young staff have always been very friendly. He makes very good food, the owner, however his pace is one of a snail, he doesn’t seem to ever be in a hurry and doesn’t seem open to the idea of maybe bringing in some help to work on the food prep line which would expedite the process thus increasing customer satisfaction & revenue. I hate to give such a negative review for a place that I’ve enjoyed for quite some time, but the owner is not customer oriented and that does not sit well with me. I will no longer be frequenting this establishment and I hope that some of you out there that read this will understand and appreciate my anger...

The food was delicious, but it seemed pricey to me. Not sure if it’s a Utah thing, pricey for being fairly close to Delta Center, or across the street from a high school (which I’m shocked that that many high schoolers can afford it), but the price this place charges for an entree, you can get an entree with small drink and a side in TX. For example, I totally wanted fried mushrooms, but I refuse to pay $5.50 for 5 mushrooms. That’s insane!Anyway, the food was hot, fresh, and made to order. No complaints about the food itself. Service was helpful and friendly. The biggest issue besides price was it was dirty, but they may have had a mad rush of high schoolers before we walked in or careless customers. After we were there, a large rush of high schoolers came in. The restaurant had a little trash on the floor and tables, a few spills on the floor, and under a chair at our table there was quite a bit of spilled sauce on the floor. While we were sitting there and the mad rush of kids just slowed, a worker politely asked if she could clean up the spill under the chair at our table. She was very sweet...
