I have to start by saying that when we found this place I was so excited. The description and menu looked amazing, so excitedly we walked to it. When we got there, it became obvious we were not welcomed by the guy at the cashier, maybe he was having a bad day⌠or so we chose to give him the benefit of the doubt. Still we tried to see the good and decided to stay.
We looked over the menu and placed our order. My husband got a Chai and one of their toast. I got a drip coffee and their burrito.
The DISTRICT Burrito out of their 3 breakfast meals was the only one that in the description didnât have egg in it (I donât eat egg), which is why I ordered it. When we received our order, my burrito was stuffed with eggđĽđł . We proceeded to make the guy making the food aware of this and asked if we could have a solution. He proceeded to tell my husband we could but that he had to charge us đ˛. We proceeded to point out that the Menu did not indicate that the burrito had egg in it (clearly their mistake, any other establishment wouldâve corrected the situation).
He replied, and I quote:
âthatâs not my problem, I didnât write Menuâ!
This was very disappointing to us., we had never had such horrible customer service. My husband couldnât even enjoy his food after that horrible interaction with that employee. I asked for a manager and the girl barista was so kind to call him, however he did not want to speak with me or correct the situation, that made us more disappointed of this place. Yes it is aesthetically pleasing but their customer service is not to the level of what it appears to be in pictures. Their prices are higher than other coffee houses we visited during this trip and we wish we had never stepped foot in here. Such a horrible start to our last day of our trip. No one should have to experience this kind of maltreatment.
I am a Google Reviewer and always check out the Star âď¸ Ratings on every place we visit and sadly this one let us down. I do wish I had taken the time to read more in detail their Reviews bc youâll see how many there are about them being racist. Sad sad sad!
We donât recommend this place, there are plenty of other welcoming options in the area. Take a risk but if you donât fit in you will be...
Read moreWe learned about this coffee shop this summer. A friend told us that we could go there with our dog. District Coffee became our second to go place for ham and cheese croissants, coffee and a hot coco to do our family weekend breakfast with our dog. Despite the bad hot coco almost water or milk taste or cold served croissants we kept going just because we could take our dog. This is a very pretty coffee shop in a great convenient location but unfortunately their youngsters who work there are not very attentive to service detail. Last time we went on Saturday December 2nd around 9 am. The guy with the big earrings in his hears said âthe dog can be here long enough until you order but he canât be here after thatâ so I said that has never been a problem before but he didnât care. We took off with our dog and although we asked them to heat up our croissants, when we got to home 4 minutes away of this business our croissants were cold. We also had to add sugar for some flavor to our hot coco. After the whole experience added with not dog allowed inside we decided to not return there. I hope they hire people with good costumer service skills and allow...
Read moreMy experience here has been unpredictable, and my two most recent visits have been terrible. I ordered a burrito and two drinks, expecting to take them home in a reasonable time. The drinks were out in under ten minutes. It took almost a half hour for the burrito, only for it to be picked up by another customer who ordered a burrito after me. They don't use customer-specific tickets for the food (only for the drinks) so they had no way to track whose food was whose. I waited another twenty minutes or so for my burrito. Fifty minutes is the longest I've sat for a bit of brunch. They did give me a free drink for the trouble. The burrito was poorly folded, so I'd get several bites of tortilla in some spots. Today I picked up my free drink. Unfortunately, it was awful. I ordered two chais that tasted like vaguely cinnamon-flavored milk. Probably shouldn't use an 8 oz helping of chai mix for a 16 oz drink. It tastes more like the dregs left after a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch than a beverage (worse, actually, since that would be a pleasant experience). The service, drinks, and food--I can't leave a positive review for...
