I don't usually write reviews on Google, but I wanted to write about this new burger place. I am a burger guy and was very excited to visit this new spot in downtown since it had high ratings, but I was very disappointed after my visit today.
The most important aspect of a delicious burger is balance. It’s not just about throwing tasty toppings together. It’s about how well the toppings harmonize with the burger and how cleanly you can eat it with two hands (I don't mind people eating burgers with forks and knives, but the default should consider the balance of eating with two hands instead.) Most importantly, the taste of the patty. However, this place’s patty lacks flavor. It tasted almost like it was boiled rather than grilled. Additionally, the balance of this burger is very poor. The sauce overflowed, and I lost count of how many napkins I used.
We ordered the burger with guacamole and the burger with onion rings, which seemed to be the main signature burgers of this place. However, in the end, the guacamole, onion rings, and other toppings all spilled out. Was the onion ring in the onion ring burger not tasty? No, the onion ring itself wasn’t bad. (Sadly, the onion rings in the burger were better than the patty) But I couldn't understand how I was supposed to eat it. It didn’t balance with the burger at all. The lettuce was also too large, and eventually, after eating about half of it, all the toppings inside the burger spilled out.
Since this place is recently opened, hope it gets better, but for now, it is below average, but not too bad place to eat in city creek. Price wasn't too bad compared to other expensive...
Read moreIf heaven had a flavor, it would taste like Seven Brothers' Paniolo burger. I swear, biting into that burger was like being knighted by a cowboy angel who moonlights as a gourmet chef.
Let's start with the Paniolo burger itself. Imagine this: a juicy, perfectly seasoned beef patty that's been grilled to perfection. It's like the cow had a dream, and that dream was to become the best darn burger ever. Top that with crispy bacon, melty cheese, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and some sort of magical sauce that could probably end wars. One bite and I was ready to write it into my will. If I were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, it would be this burger. And maybe a lifetime supply of it.
And let’s talk about the staff – these folks are the burger whisperers. Friendly, fast, and clearly in love with their job, they make you feel like you're the most important person who has ever walked through their doors. I mean, I think they might have even slipped a little extra joy into my burger because I left with a permanent smile and a newfound zest for life.
One more thing – the fries. Oh, sweet potato gods, the fries! Crisped to golden perfection, they were the perfect sidekick to my burger. If the Paniolo burger is Batman, those fries are definitely Robin.
In conclusion, if you haven't been to Seven Brothers yet, what are you even doing with your life? Drop everything, get yourself there, and prepare to have your taste buds serenaded by the food equivalent of a symphony orchestra. Trust me, your stomach will thank you, and your heart might even sing a little tune...
Read moreAs I approached the entrance to the restaurant, I took a breath of fresh air as I stepped in with an open mind, but I was low-key expecting overpriced food that was really just ok. I stepped in the doors to be greeted with the menu on the entryway window. A unique design choice.
I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and a large home fries. I wasn't sure how the teriyaki and garlic combo would work on the sandwich, but my faith in the restaurant ingredient choice paid off immensely! The sandwich's teriyaki sauce didn't affect its crispiness which was a notable feat. The flavor was great, and it was simply one of the best things I've gotten at a burger place like this. The only thing I'd personally add to the sandwich is pickles. Still absolutely fantastic though. I should also mention that one of my friends who came with our group got the gluten-free item and he said it was fantastic. So if you're worried about their gluten-free selection, don't be.
The home fries aren't really actually a true "French fry", since they are fried round slices of potato instead of sticks. Honestly I think they're better like that. For the price, you get quite a few and they are seasoned perfectly and very filling.
Now let's talk about service. The staff were friendly and my order was out QUICK. the restaurant was pretty busy, so it seems like they know exactly what they're doing.
Overall amazing restaurant. Great food, decent prices, friendly staff, neat location and vibe. Keep on cookin',...
