The staff here is incompetent and rude, but you can probably have a good dining experience if you budget 90 minutes for your meal, ask the cashier which tables you are allowed to sit at, get a paper receipt, and check on the status of your order every 15 to 20 minutes.
More details about my experience: Apparently I sat in the wrong section of the restaurant when I was dining here at 5:30pm on a Tuesday. I was right near the entrance and I didn't walk through any doors or anything like that to get to where I was sitting. Even though I had an electronic tracking device which also had a number printed on it in plain sight, the staff decided to just give up on me and not deliver the food I had paid for. When I complained 35 minutes after ordering, they gave me a similar but worse dish that happened to be available. Then they cooked an entirely wrong dish for me thinking somehow that I might be hungry enough to eat two entrees and that this would make it right. They never made the salad I ordered. By the time they finally made the burger I ordered, I wasn't hungry and I had to leave to catch a show at 7pm.
They blamed me for sitting in the wrong section even though it would have been trivial for them to find me if they had tried, and there was no way for me to know I was in the wrong section. The guy I was dealing with said "well I tried my best!" as I was walking out but in reality they were rude and...
Read moreI had been holding off on reviewing for a while because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. I've ordered online a LOT of times over the past few months. I wouldn't go here anymore, except that it is the closest place to my office, and when you're working 90 hours/week you really would rather not take a half hour to walk somewhere else. The poor review comes down to the fact that their online ordering is not consistent with their in store ordering and they have, on multiple occasions, blamed that on me. When I order something and pay, then come to pick it up, you better give me what I ordered. Telling me "oh, that doesn't come with it when you order in the store" really doesn't matter to me. I ordered it, and it was promised to me; why not have some sense of customer service and just let me have what I ordered instead of throwing it in the trash? Today an employee told me that I need to not order extra veggies in the future because they aren't free in the restaurant like they are online, as if it's my fault that I chose that perfectly viable option on their website. Fix your website and don't be rude to your customers about it when it's not their fault or problem. Honor what you are promising customers when they order on the website you set up. Also, please put some salt...
Read moreUPDATE: After posting the original review (below) and filing a complaint I received a quick response and a credit/refund for future purchase upon return to Blue Lemon. I am very satisfied with how the complain was handled at the corporate level, and have increased my rating by 2 stars from 1 to 3. I would increase the rating to 4 stars if it did not directly impact the City Creek Location.
Original Review: I would not recommend this location. This was my fourth time to Blue Lemon, but first at this location. I at first ordered a new gnocchi dish on their menu - which they were out of gnocchi on a Friday afternoon, prior to dinner.
I moved on to the Korean bowl, as the picture looked fantastic, hearty, and filling. I was very disappointed when they brought the food out - the quantity received was literally half the size of the picture. I immediately noticed and commented to the server bringing out the food - his response was there was nothing he could do about it, but would tell his manager that I was dissatisfied with the quantity. I'm not sure whether he did or did not, as they did not do anything about it.
As for the flavor, it was great - just wish I had twice as much as I was given as per the...
