Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I’ve been coming here since the beginning and recently the past months the experience hasn’t been so great. Last time I came in I ordered a dulce de leche sundae and the bananas were super green and I honestly couldn’t even finish eating it because how bitter the bananas tasted. Sometimes I get waffle cones that are nice brown and crispy and some others have been soggy that they almost taste stale. Today when I went in there was a line and there was only one worker which is the same young girl I see everytime I come. When I arrived it looked like she had just gotten an ice cream shipment. So she was running back and forth from helping customers to getting an online order done that even a couple who was in front of me got upset and left because they couldn’t wait 5 seconds for her to finish it up. Props to her for working hard and trying to get through all the customers. They really need to be having more than one person especially during rush hours. y came at a very busy moment, where there was a huge organization. There was only one worker, but he was very kind and patient, and apologized for the wait when it was finally my turn. I buy haagen-dazs at the grocery store, but never go to the in person stores, so it was a new experience! They have a variety of flavors, from classics to unique combos. They had a couple tropical flavors as well! It seemed like the milkshakes were pretty popular since i noticed a lot of people ordered it! I got the coffee chip and midnight cookies and cream; it was so creamy and refreshing, it def satisfied my sweet cravings! The location is located outside of the mall, so I did get a bit lost at first, but once you go onto the main street youll notice it! There’s street parking but id recommend the garage parking, which you can get validated. The store had some seating and is spacious enough to chill and hang out with friends. I love Häagen-Dazs and was really craving their ice cream today, but my experience at this location was very disappointing. I stopped by around 1:00 PM with a coworker, and the employee working there completely ignored us. There were no other customers, and she seemed to be focused on an online order, but she didn’t even greet or acknowledge us when we walked in. When I finally approached her and said hello, she was very rude, told me to wait, and acted annoyed.

My coworker and I ended up leaving because of the lack of respect and consideration. It’s unfortunate, because I truly enjoy Häagen-Dazs and want to keep coming back, but this kind of service pushes customers away.
