Bentley's Beer Garden — Restaurant in San Antonio

After we stumbled out of Roadmap, we saw their sign outside and figured we should add them to our crawl. It has a thick party atmosphere to it, with swings for barstools and ample room for a lot of people. Reminds me of an outside Puerto Rican or Cuban club you'd find in Miami. As soon as I walked in, I could feel the party vibes. It has a big dance area, and a large stage for bands and DJs. There was a food truck, but we didn't peek in on it. Both our bartenders were really cool and talkative. Maaaan, I bet this place gets wild at night. We did feel a little confused, though. When you see a sign saying "beer garden," all other factors considered, you know there's going to be at least one thing you enjoy, regardless. However, I'm not quite sure I'd call this a beer garden. They had no taps! Like zero! I spoke to the bartender and he said they were planning on putting in a 16-tap area in the back, but that it was still under construction. For us, as beer connoisseurs (pinky in the air whilst I down my Martin House), I felt I could get their selection just about anywhere in town - but clearly there's a lot more going on here than beer. If I were young again and looking for adventure, I could definitely see us coming here more often. I was going to give them 4 stars for misleading me on their craft selection, but I'm going to bump them up to 5 for showing me a new mingle location, if I'm ever down for that sort of thing...

This place should be shut down immediately!!!, They have regulars after 10:00pm who start fights the rent a cops that they have there will tolerate it and watch the fights like they enjoy it they will take a bit before escorting any of their regulars out and once you are right outside of the business you will get hit by their regulars. And they will watch and will not intervene see for yourself and Look at how long they will take to call SAPD. I will be showing the city THE VIDEO I HAVE ON THEM AND THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. NOW I CAN SEE WHY THE CITY HAD TO SHUT THEM DOWN. Actually they should show video of their establishment better yet their online already. AND THEY REOPENED IT. Try me check for yourself. Especially on Sundays. Make sure you park really close there to be prepared to leave. I wish people had a posting about this place. After having a horrible experience I see why all the people that live in condos who are doctors nurses etc will not go there. I pray that this place gets closed down once and for all. I invited my friends to this bar after so many great experiences. They had never been there before, and ordered a drink. My friend handed the bartender MAXINE his card and waited for his drink. MAXINE handed him his drink and asked for his card. Confused, my friend stated, “I just gave you my card?” MAXINE, in an extremely rude tone responded, “No you didn’t, I have a way of doing things. I usually swipe the card right away and give it back.” Keep in mind, multiple of us saw the exchange where my friend handed her the card. When confronted, she said, “It’s not a big deal, just cancel the card.” Umm… what??? What world are you living in MAXINE? That is such an inconvenience. A simple apology and sincere response would’ve gone a long way. Later, I approached a security guard about the situation because we were upset at how we were approached, the manager saw, and kicked out our ENTIRE group. All for what??? We didn’t do anything wrong. We got kicked out of a bar and had to cancel our card… My friends and I will never be coming to this bar again. I have never been treated so poorly.
