Unfortunately, for our first visit to this location on 2/19/2025 between 8:30-10:45pm the bartender decided to close the bar earlier despite the bar being at least half full with active customers like ourselves. Even though they were scheduled to close at midnight, around 10:00ish he was seen rushing around the bar slamming windows closed, loudly moving chairs around, and aggressively blew out the candles on the table right in front of my date and I that our wine glasses were sitting on. It was incredibly rude! He did not inform us that the bar was closing early so at 10:15pm or so we asked to order one of the wonderful looking cocktails on the menu. He very abruptly told us “we closed 30 minutes ago so unless you just want a shot, no”. We were shocked and disappointed because there was no last call, no notice, and he just said “well the owner said I could close early since it’s dead”. It was 35° out so of course the back patio wouldn’t be open but the inside had at least 50-60% of the seats taken and there were only 20 or so spots in the entire place to begin with! So unfortunate that we had such a negative service experience at a place I have been dying to try for months. I suggest they hire better staff ASAP.
We love the type of music that was playing but even the DJ packed up and left the audience hours early without warning. Incredibly disappointed and the staff should be ashamed! We had to tell cars that were parking outside when we were leaving that the bar had unfortunately closed early. I guess the bartender wasn’t concerned with earning money tonight....
Read moreThe Pastiche is a brilliant establishment tucked away downtown in what appears to be a residential home. While the neighborhood might feel a bit sketchy at night, don’t let that stop you—this place is worth the visit.
From the outside, it resembles a single-family home, and the entryway can comfortably fit about 4–5 people at a time. Once inside, you're greeted by a cozy living room and dining area on your right. There are couches, chairs, side tables, and a central coffee table near the window. That space can seat around six people comfortably—as long as you don’t mind sitting next to strangers and just vibing out. The dining area, with more couches, can fit about four more comfortably.
The bar area is small but lively, and it fills up fast. The bartender is talented, so it helps to know what you want ahead of time—grab your drink and move along because it’s usually too crowded to sit there comfortably.
Down the hallway, you'll find two restrooms, both very clean. If you keep walking, you’ll reach the backyard where there's additional seating and a small bar. I took a quick look around but didn’t stay outside—though it had a cool, rustic, artistic vibe that felt fresh and innovative.
The DJ was on point, spinning tracks that flowed perfectly all night. The overall environment is low-key, chill, and drama-free, but it can get...
