I went for the first time ln and it was terrible. The bouncer was on some power trip and said I couldn’t go in even though he saw me enter and I had just stepped out to take a call. When I returned after my call he said I was no longer allowed in. Due to this I asked why and he said he didn’t have to give a reason why. I stood out side talking to him trying to gather why I was no longer allowed access to the establishment but he continued to say he did not have to give a reason why. I eventually had to call my friends that were inside and ask if they could come out. I don’t understand why this happened and why the bouncer would do this. He made me feel as if I did something wrong, which if I did I would respect. He simply said he did not want me there. Not sure if he is going through something or not but his behavior is just sad and pathetic that he feels like he can and does abuse the position he is in to ruin other peoples nights. Multiple people outside my friend group even asked/stood up for me, which I appreciate dearly. I was targeted for no reason and the bouncer seemed to take pleasure in saying no and seeing my frustration. People like that who have to illustrate their power over are just to feel some importance is toxic and just a bad vibe.Kinda ruined my night and messed with me, that guy obviously needs to talk to someone to figure his life out and stop being a pathetically small person. He represents the worst kind of person and needs to get his life in order so he stops just diminishing and demeaning people.
Also from other comments I have read it seems he is hella predatory with women to the people he tries to insert himself in random convos just for the chance to talk to a girl. Word to the wise if he tries to hit on you, Run!!!!!! Any woman can do so much better because he will only end up treating you like the trash that...
Read moreBest bar in the boundaries of the modern observed universe. I've been coming here since probably 2012 and it's guaranteed a good time. I don’t live in the area, but I frequently get on a plane from New York to try and make it there before the crowd settles in so I can claim my seat at the bar. I know you might say, “You actually fly across the country to go to Bus Stop??” Yes, yes I do. For some reason the mixture between the SFO climate and the Bus Stop atmosphere gives me the satisfaction only comparable to a junkie shooting their heroin. After cleaning house in pool, Wild Turkey, PBR, and a ‘prime time’ football game (which I tend to be partial too earlier in the day), my eyelids grow heavy and I wonder to the street corner requesting my Lyft back to San Francisco International. Here I will wait at the gate, re-watching all my Instagram stories of my 3-5 hour adventure at the bus stop as my flight to JFK keeps getting delayed. I don’t know whether to cry or fall asleep, or fall asleep crying, as I already miss warm fuzzy feeling I get of being at Bus Stop and its patrons who vary in all shapes sizes and backgrounds. I board the plane and take a half Xanax to pass out, hoping I will wake up in a studio loft above the Bus Stop living my dream of running my own sports podcast out of my 85 square foot living room. Instead I wake up at ungodly eastern time hour only to shower off the hangover, head to my box stacking job, and watch the clock until it’s time to board my next flight to San Fran in nine hours, just to live my fantasy...
Read moreI've been coming going in there for years. When I first came in here, the bartenders and cocktail waitresses were friendly and served great drinks. They still do. They have great drinks specials, and not just during Happy Hour. An example: if the Giants win a game, you get PBR for a buck for half an hour. Nice huh? It's a sports bar, so when the big games or events are on it can get crowded. During the Union Street Fair they rent a small beer truck, park it outside, where they can get their kegs of beer easier, and they're nice and cold. There are also a few pub crawls that go on and it can be amusing to see the young people. dressed in their costumes acting silly. I enjoy the pool tables, and go in there regularly on a Friday at Happy Hour to play and meet with friends. Friday is a great time to come for the regulars, and I am proud to consider myself one. The bartenders are friendly and treat you with respect. Get on their bad side and they have the right not so serve you. I enjoy the cameradery with the regulars, who seem like...
