I saw the business’s response, and it seems I don’t have any place to reply, so I’ll do it here:
Once again, I respect the regulations. However, the crucial point is the lack of respect in the language used by your security personnel towards customers! Can you confirm if he indeed holds the position of manager and overseer of the establishment as he claimed? Is it acceptable for your security personnel to casually engage with customers while gaming? Does this represent your attitude towards customer service? Are your security personnel allowed to communicate rudely with customers?
Is explaining policy the only action you intend to take? Shouldn’t there be an apology for the behavior of this security personnel?

I've always been a fan of this bar, but today's experience left me extremely disappointed. Here's what happened: It was a stormy day in San Francisco, and unfortunately, I had to work late. My wife suggested meeting here for a drink and a bite since it was the weekend. I rushed from the office, and she set out from home. Upon arrival, I encountered a security guard who insisted on a physical ID, despite explaining I came straight from work without it. I offered to show my official DMV digital ID on the app, but he dismissively refused, claiming it wasn't acceptable. I explained my wife was already en route, and it wouldn't be fair to make her go back home in this weather. Moreover, the digital ID I had was from the official DMV app, which verifies my age (BTW, I'm forty). I asked if I could speak to a manager, to which he arrogantly replied while gaming, "I am the manager, you're Nachos."
Ironically, this so-called manager-cum-security guard faced a similar situation with another group of customers who inquired about cancellation fees due to not having their IDs, despite having made prior reservations. He claimed ignorance. It's clear he's nothing but a pretender.
I respect your rules, but your hired security should respect your customers. If you can't even manage basic respect, let alone discrimination against your patrons, even the best bars will fall...
Read moreI came here randomly after dinner with some friends and this might be the hottest new bar to hit Cow Hollow. It feels like a members-only speakeasy because there are no signs out front. There's a bouncer in front of an unmarked door who lets you up the stairs after checking your ID. It's right above Bus Stop (same owners)
When we finally came to the top of the steps, I was just in awe. It felt like one of those NYE members-only clubs because it was a small, cozy space, there was a live Dj, and the decor was giving sophisticated, stylish, old money vibes. Plus the food and drinks were expensive, which is appropriate for how cool of a space you're at. We ordered a bunch of drinks, and these are definitely more spirit-forward. I prefer a more sweet drink (I got The Bamboo with pandan tincture because the Filipino in me couldn't resist a good Pandan flavor), so next time I might go for a different drink.
They apparently also have food here! They have high-end options like caviar and aged a5 wagyu bites, but also classic ones like a charcuterie board. We came from dinner, so we didn't order food, but next time l'd love to!
Definitely make a reservation because we walked in ano had to hover around until a lounge spot cleared up that wasn't reserved. It does get loud too, but as the night winds down it becomes pretty chill. You gotta...
Read moreI recently discovered a one-of-a-kind speakeasy secretly nestled on Union Ave in the prime Cow Hollow area of San Francisco, and it offered one of the best experiences the city has to offer. On a Tuesday evening, the venue was bustling with professionals, creating an elegant and lively atmosphere. Although reservations are highly recommended due to their popularity, we were fortunate enough to wait in the stylish bar area until we were seated. Our evening unfolded beautifully with expertly crafted top-shelf drinks, delectable appetizers, and ultimately, a sumptuous dinner. Each cocktail was visually stunning and perfectly balanced in flavor, while the appetizers were a delightful prelude to the meal, bursting with unique and magical tastes. A special thanks to Marie, whose attentive and accommodating service ensured our experience was not only exquisite but also comforting and inviting. Her dedication truly set this speakeasy apart. We were so impressed that we decided to stay for dinner and are already planning to return with more friends to share this upscale dining haven. Whether you’re seeking a sophisticated night out or a cozy spot to unwind, this hidden gem on Union Ave is the perfect choice. Thank you to the entire team, especially Marie, for making our night truly special. We can’t...
