I used to work near the Comet Club for a restaurant. The H.N.I.C. bartender that works at Comet Club came to the restaurant where I used to work at. At this job where I worked at, we had a great deal of autonomy as to discounts and the like. One of my co-workers told me while I was ringing the H.N.I.C. bartender's order that, he's good. It's on us. Knowing my co-worker, when he said that, I told H.N.I.C it is all G. It's on us. I didn't know he was the H.N.I.C. of a bar near us. He thanked us and told us, "Hey, I work here. Come through sometime. I got you guys on one." Although I don't work near this bar anymore, if I'm in the area I'll go in and say what's up, pay the cover charge, pay full price for my drink. Whatever. But what we established that night when I first met him is how "industry folks" should treat one another. I'm not saying abuse that "wink-wink" favor, but I sincerely appreciate it whenever any dining establishment/bar, offers "industry members" some type of love. Read moreVince the manager of comet club tried to give me someone else’s credit card when closing out and then was incredibly nonchalant after admitting to giving my credit card to another customer. He kept saying “I apologized I don’t know what else you want me to do.” He offered no remedy to this other than comping our current drinks (cran vodka so not really a compensation) and claimed he checked whether the card was charged for another person’s bill but wouldn’t look up the charges in front of my friend and me. It is a major business liability. As someone who works for restaurants and bar hospitality groups I know that this is a fire-able offense. This bar is very fun but incredibly unprofessional in dealing with their own mistakes and I would not recommend ever opening...
Read moreWent there last saturday with wife and really enjoyed it. We got there before the large crowd arrived but was really impressed with the layout, vibe and the bartender was terrific. Engaged us in conversation, poured us GREAT drinks and took the time to talk with us about all the happenings at the Comet Club throughout the week. We LYFT over to the City from Marin, and like the area where it's located, (and it cuts down on a huge LYFT bill) seeing its not too far over the GG bridge. Went to many other bars that night but found CC to be really cool. We'll definitely be going back, and kudos to the bartender as...
