I see a lot of good reviews about Amber but unfortunately that was not experience at all. I booked an eyebrow wax for 1050am. Arrive around 1035. Checked in and walked down to the book store. I came back to the store at 1048 and waited until she finished her previous client which was around 1051. Right as her client was getting up, another client immediately jumped into her chair..the way you jump into your chair if someone is squeezing you and doing you a favor.
The woman who checked me in noticed and went to whisper in Amber’s ear. Not sure of conversation but it was clear that she was not about to stop with her friend when I clearly had an appointment.
What is really disheartening about the entire experience is that Amber didn’t even have the decent (or rather minimum) customer service skills to turn around as I was sitting right by her station to say “oh it’ll be a little while longer” “do you mind if I take her first” “I’m so sorry I’m running late”..nothing.
Maybe you have to look a certain way to get serviced or at least acknowledged by Amber. Not the experience I want to have where I’m paying my money, paying for a car to get to or right before a vacation.

I booked various waxing services, the bikini only to clean up a few hairs remaining after full laser hair removal. (I always tell the aesthetician in advance and discuss the proper booking and charge for the 3-5 minute bikini service I actually need). For the first time ever (at Benefit or anywhere I’ve waxed), this woman was furious that I didn’t think the longest and most expensive service - a full Brazilian - was appropriate for my situation (literally about 5 hairs). She became irate, as though her 5 minutes of bikini time is equivalent to heart surgery. Her own manager looked baffled and couldn’t calm her down. I booked an appointment with Sully for my crazy over grown eyebrows. I had let them grow for over a year to undo the over plucking look from the early 2000s. Neatless to say, my eyebrows were overdue! Sully came to the rescue! She waxed them and made me LOVE my eyebrows again! She also waxed my upper lip area. She gave me some wonderful tips on how to apply products to keep my eyebrows looking amazing. I am very happy with my new look and the great products I purchased. Sully was very knowledgeable of skin and make up products. I am very happy with all the recommendations she gave me. It is very rare to find a business that makes you feel cared.
