I’ve never seen a restaurant that so accurately fits the name. I was in town for a show at the palace of fine arts and needed a quick bite to eat before the show. It was an easy walk and they had probably five or six flavors sold by the slice ready to go in the window. The restaurant its self is a narrow hallway with a row of barstools along one wall. There were framed photos of Robin Williams by the cash register on the wall. This is the archetypal big city delicious pizza place. I got the chicken pesto because I can’t eat tomatoes and it was delicious. The crust was very crispy and there was a lot of chicken in every bite. My partner got two slices of pepperoni and said it was just right, just greasy enough for her tastes but not so greasy it dripped past her wrist. If I ever find myself in the area again and crave pizza I’d definitely go back....
Read moreUsed to enjoy coming here. Been doing it for years, but the girl working the register fri/sat nights kinda ruins it for me. Super catty, snarky and makes me feel awkward AF even tho I’m just trying to grab low key piece of pizza late at night.
She puts off this weird vibe that make me feel like I’m doing something consistently wrong even though I’m completely staying in my metaphorical lane. Also, the upsell on the overpriced ranch and charging me to use a credit card are obnoxious.
It’s a deal breaker for me. When I stumble in here trying to satiate the munchies and consistently feel like I’m being judged/ hated upon it makes me never wanna come back. And so this is how the relationship ends after years.
Pizza = solid 8/10. Service 2/10. Shout out to the man in the back of the shop always talking up the bbq pizza that’s...
Read moreWe came in around 10pm, after trying to order one of their burgers (which was 13$) We were told that only the top 4 burgers were available. So we opted for a 9$ cheeseburger. The wait time was super lengthy. We waited over ONE hour just for a cheeseburger, while other people were getting a WHOLE box of pizza under 15 mins. Finally the food arrived and was ATROCIOUS, it was so cold and not even fresh at ALL. The fries were absolutely not fresh and were cold to the touch. This was the only food shop open on Lombard ST at the time. However the slice of veggie pizza we ordered was AMAZING, I think the shop should just stick to cold beers and pizzas. I fully back up my review and ask the owners to...
