Lives up to the hype. Can't beat the price and quality of food. Had the chilaquiles with birria. Fire 🔥. The chips are homemade, thick and really crispy, with great homemade salsa to pair. The refried beans were delicious too - you could eat them without having to combine them with the sides. Decor was peaceful and charmingly designed. Even the bathroom has a swag touch to it. Also, didn't drink, but the prices seem good. Definitely coming again. Pro tip - they have weekend exclusives, plus a lunch menu, and a cocktail happy hour.

Finally, a decent , true restaurant which is not touristic and you can enjoy some Mexican food. The Margarita coctail tasted like pre-prepared, bought in a bottle from the supermarket. It was very sweet and it tasted fake. The food wasn't exceptional but it was nice. The size of the portion were big enough and I could fill my stomach. The prices were reasonable. The staff was very polite and quick. We liked the atmosphere of the place and that it was located outside the centre. We are definitely going back again.

This is probably the most disappointing place in my neighborhood. I walked into a mostly empty place and was ignored for 5 minutes. Ordered a carnitas burrito with mole sauce and it was awful. The meat was overcooked and was so salty I had to stop eating it. The sauce was too sweet, runny, and grainy; it feels like it came out of a can. It took 3 staff members to get me my check in a restaurant with 10 people in it. I won’t be back.

I kept hearing about this place and I wanted to try it out. I was treating myself to a birthday dinner. I walked in. I was not attended to. I'd already picked what I wanted from the menu before they sat me down. I got chips & salsa & two beers before I was told my meal had been given to someone else. When I got my meal, it was the weakest mole I have had- period- I was disappointed, considering how much this restaurant has been talked up. My server was not attentive, I asked the ladies bussing to get me what I needed. (Napkins, water, silverware, tortillas) The other tables and the bar were being attended to but I was not. Being the only non white in the dinning area, I cant help but take that in to consideration. I spoke to a young lady when she asked me if "everything is ok?" I replied, give me my bill. I'll pay for everything. My meal was very disappointing. Your mole is so weak, it's great for the Gringos, I'm sure they love it, but it's a hard pass for me. My meal was comped, although i took only a few bites; i still would have paid in full. I never saw my waiter again. I tipped...

Ted Wicher I think there is seriously wrong with you and wrong with your taste buds..This place is Authentic if you know the difference also sounds like you were on an off day...That's was your preference and not going back then why write a bad review ?? You just don't go there and go something more suitable for you .. You have to know the difference in Authentic food ..The food is super Autehntic and Amazing you can also try San Jalisco on 20th & South Van Ness. The food is delicious ..My family has been eating her food for many many years ...Good Job Tia Yossie lots of love from your nephew Benito Razo ...Not on my the food amazing the owner my Aunt is so Cool 😎 and adorable and...

So excited to have this place in the neighborhood. The food is head and shoulders over the small number of other Mexican restaurants around. And they have a liquor license and TVs for sports games. This place could be a real gathering place in the neighborhood!

But there’s work to be done. As of last check, they are not accepting credit cards yet, don’t have the goat birria on their menu yet. And their refried beans aren’t my favorite (too chunky, low in flavor). And they seem short-staffed and haven’t decorated much, yet.

Everything else was excellent. As good as the best taquerias in the Mission. Even if nothing changes, I look forward to eating...
