Absolute worst cafe experience of my life. We put ourselves on the waiting list for a table of 4. We got a call that a table was ready after waiting for some time but we asked if we could be skipped because we were still waiting on 2 friends and didn’t want to take up a table for so long while waiting. They said it was no problem and to call when we were ready. Me and my boyfriend went back to the shop and asked one of the people about getting the next table and stated that we had made a “reservation” earlier. We also asked if they had any food without egg because of an allergy. One of the workers, I think it was the manager, said that they don’t do reservations and to just look at the menu in regards to the egg. We then clarified that we meant the wait list, not specifically a reservation, which should have been pretty obvious. The way they responded to both our request to get a table and for concerns with allergies was rude and condescending. Then, me and my boyfriend waited for around 10 minutes for a table, while no server or worker said anything to us about when we would get a table or if we would get a table. After telling us to just look at the menu, we were ignored as if we weren’t there. A group of 4-5 people then came in asking for a table, and that same worker was about to seat them immediately meanwhile we were already waiting there. We were eventually able to get a table and our 2 friends met up with us. We ordered our food and waited for over 30 minutes for our food to come meanwhile we saw around 8 plates of food be given to people who came AFTER us during that entire time. The server never came up to us and said sorry the food is taking long and never came to check on us even though we saw her do it with other tables. After almost just leaving the restaurant, we finally got one of our foods, which was a chicken salad sandwich. This was definitely sitting in the kitchen for at least 20 minutes because the chicken salad became hard, which happens when it sits out for a while. It was also obvious that the cheese was melted and then re-solidified. Our group still had to wait for food to come after this point, while we continued to see other people who came after us get their food before the rest of our group that arrived 40 minutes prior to this. The server never gave an apology or care in the world about the horrible service that was being given to us. They pretty much just ignored us the whole time we were there. This was the worst waste of money and time, spend your money somewhere else that actually deserves it. This...

The great: The food is on point. Everything is made fresh and the presentation is excellent. Located in a perfect area within walking distance of the beach. The restaurant also serves wine which is a great concept to stay open and busy throughout the day and evening. The food is locally sourced. The building design and condition is way above PR standards which is a huge draw to visitors. The indoor space has AC for those looking to eat under cooler conditions.

The good: Parking is a bit limited but most people walk as it’s the better option for this area. The coffee is great just needs to be slightly hotter to get full flavor. I’d say it’s luke warm by the time it arrives at the table.

The bad: Slightly unorganized when it comes to eating in. It operates on a first come first serve basis but you can sit for 15 mins and the staff will just walk by multiple times without inquiring.

The terrible: Service is atrocious. I live within walking distance and visit very often. My average wait time from when I walk in until I’m served food is about an hour or more. Having sat back after multiple visits I see the same staff walking around as if it were their first day serving. A 15 year old 10th grade student in the US would run circles around the multiple waiters on staff. This restaurant can be a gold mine churning money but they fail miserably because of wait staff. If the food weren’t great people wouldn’t return and deal with this service issue. Fortunately the tourist will carry this place as they visit a couple times and go back home. Locals will find other places. Owners need to have their friends visit and provide honest feedback.

Conclusion: This review is not intended to bash the restaurant as it’s a GREAT PLACE. It’s a way of letting the owners know where improvements need to occur to increase profit yields. I hope they self evaluate and provide training where they see fit. We all eat out and know when a place is a well oiled machine and when it needs improvement. This restaurant has everything it needs (location, concept, food quality, ample staff, and guests) to be the Ocean Park place to visit. Let’s...

Been there a couple of times, the coffee is delicious, brewed from local beans. Interior is nice, clean and modern. The host should examine the range of breakfast items and taste delicious cuisine to compare with what he sells at home. We ordered waffle omelet, it was weird, sweet waffle sprinkled with honey, not the best combination with scrambled eggs. Avocado toast is optional, a lot of buns, few avocados, please check the recipe on the Internet, there are many different delicious recipes. Pancakes are very dry, 4 pieces are a lot even for two, as eating dry pancakes is not very pleasant. They use dishes and appliances that are cheap and environmentally friendly. Accept any payments. The staff is pleasant but inattentive. I am writing this review to convey to the owner that the food is impossible, and most importantly, what to say with confidence...

I found this cafe walking from the beach on the lookout for a cozy cafe to sit and journal. JACKPOT! I started with a cup of yogi tea & honey ($3). Wanting to try something new, I had the pancake tacos ($13) with a scrambled egg ($3) on the side. First of all get into this presentation! So cute. Pancake tortilla, mixed fruit topped with cream, chocolate hazelnut drizzle, and granola. The fruit was fresh and tasty. Between the hazelnut chocolate drizzle and whipped cream I didn’t need any syrup. The egg on the side was scrambled perfectly. The service was great and atmosphere very inviting. The paper the food was served on had quirky stories that I also enjoyed!

I feel bad writing a negative review but I don’t want others to make the same mistake. The pancakes are very pretty and the one on top is good because it has all the toppings. Underneath all the other pancakes are dry and need lots of syrup which they do not provide. The pancakes took literally 30 minutes to make and I ordered before the place got busy at around 8:30/8:45. The coffee was weak. The people who work here are very nice but the time it took to make the pancakes doesn’t make any sense. I also got a sandwich here which was chicken salad and it was just a very mushy paste of chicken between two slices of bread. It was nice but very bland.
