We studied up on affordable hotels in San Juan for a while before booking our 1 night before our cruise at Dream Inn. The outstanding reviews on TripAdvisor were almost unbelievable but I can now affirm they are worthy. I booked through Expedia and had no troubles with the reservation. Location: We thought about staying in Old San Juan, which is where we wanted to to tour, but we were sketched out by the reviews and pictures of affordable <$200 places to stay there. Dream Inn was a good compromise as it was only a 10 minute Uber away from town. On a side-note, our Ubers were safe, clean, and widely available. The hotel is just a short walk away from a nice public beach. It should have taken the cab driver around 15 minutes to arrive from the airport, but he got lost for a good period of time. Unfortunately Uber is not able to pickup from the airport, or else we would have used it them. I felt safe in the area Dream Inn is located. Check-In: We were greeted by the manager and I can also concur she is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. She gave us information on the area, told us their policies and procedures, and made sure we knew she would accommodate us however she could. We knew before even being shown to our room that there would be no issues with the stay. We were given two keys, one for our room and one for the main hotel gate which was only locked during certain hours. Room: Our room was clean, air conditioned, had hot water, and was cozy. We got the cheaper of the rooms and it still had a window allowing natural light inside. There was soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. There were a few drinks in the fridge that could be consumed and expensed to the room. I would estimate there were only 12 or so rooms in the hotel so it was fairly quiet. Hotel Grounds/Amenities: The lobby always had free Puerto Rican coffee, tea, muffins, and candies available. It is covered but is in open air which made it a pleasant place to sit and relax or wait for an Uber/Taxi. The hotel had beach towels available to borrow as well as coolers and sunscreen. They explained all their complimentary items and services right when you arrived. The hotel has a small, but pleasent pool. The hotel's rooftop has great views and designed to be a great place for a couple drinks or to relax. In lieu of a continental breakfast, they gave us two coupons for free items at a bakery across the street called Kasalta. Kasalta was good, but if are a heavy eater, the couponed breakfast item won't be enough. The manager explained that showing our room key at many restaurants within walking distance would score us %15 off our bill. Check-out: Check-out was easy and they let us check-out about 30 minutes late. They called us a cab (we could not Uber because Uber can't take people to the cruise port) and the cab arrived 15 minutes later. It took about 15 minutes and $20-$25 for the cab ride to the Pan American Port (Royal Caribbean). Overall this was a great, safe, clean place to spend a night before our cruise. I would imagine this is a great place to spend a week or more if visiting for later.

Dream Inn!!! You are so very enchanting. My man found you after extensive research for our trip to PR. I subsequently read and combed through the reviews to find countless rave remarks! It is no mistake that so many people wrote what they wrote. I would write multiple reviews. So many if I could. The hospitality from the start—impeccable. The kindness, the sweetness—they were soooo chill and understanding after not one but TWO late night mixups on our part involving the night entrance!

Room cleanliness and orderliness was perfect, you’ll see!! We would return to our room after each excursion to find it cleaned and the sheets and towels replaced. Every detail matters, and those at Dream Inn know it. The room features a fridge that is well-stocked and the prices are fair and kind!!! One is welcomed in each room with a bottle of red wine and beautiful red wine glasses. How can you go wrong? There is a sweet little coffee pot in the lobby that always seems ready to brew. There are multiple delicious offerings for milk. There is filtered water (both hot and cold). The lobby is also consistently filled with the soothing aroma of incense, strategically placed in the most ideal location to provide the exact perfect scent experience. The pool is so sweet and lovely. One might consider it small, but that person does not happen to be one of us! One can swim laps in it. The staff provides sunscreen, bug spray, towels for the beach and pool. Every staff member is kind, friendly, and helpful. They even have lovely postcards featuring the hotel. They said “take as many as you like!” And then told me that I could fill them out and return them to the front desk to be sent out at no charge! As in, they would provide postage!!! What?!!?? What a place! We WILL be back to PR and without a doubt Dream Inn is number one on our list. The location cannot be beat! So close to the ocean, but not TOO CLOSE, if you know what I mean. I honestly wish I could just visit Dream Inn every day, but sadly that would be quite difficult for me to accomplish. Love you, Dream...

Staying at Dream Inn PR in San Juan is like hitting the vacation jackpot. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home—if your home happened to be a chic, sun-drenched retreat with amazing staff and a vibe that screams “relax and enjoy!”

The rooms are an absolute dream (pun intended). Stylish, cozy, and spotless, they come with everything you need for the perfect getaway. The little touches—like local art on the walls and thoughtful amenities—make you feel like they truly care about your experience. Plus, the beds? So comfy they might ruin all other beds for you.

The location is unbeatable. Tucked in a quiet neighborhood, it’s close enough to all the action but far enough to feel like your own personal oasis. The beach, amazing restaurants, and coffee shops are all just a short walk away, making it super easy to soak up everything San Juan has to offer.

The rooftop pool? Let’s just say I spent more time there than I care to admit. The views are incredible, and the relaxed vibe makes it the perfect spot to sip on a drink and soak up the sun.

And let’s talk about the staff—they’re absolute rock stars. Friendly, helpful, and always ready with a recommendation or a smile, they made the whole experience even better. Need a tip on the best spot for mofongo? They’ve got you. Curious about a hidden beach? They’ll point you in the right direction.

Dream Inn PR is more than just a place to stay—it’s a vibe, a mood, and a little slice of paradise in San Juan. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or for a romantic getaway, this spot will leave you wishing you could extend your trip indefinitely....
