Our dinner started off well, we were seated quickly but that is the only good service we had all night. We ordered two soups, the Lobster Bisque and the French Onion. Both of these took a very long time to come out and they didn’t even taste very good. The Lobster Bisque had lots of shredded crab in it which could have been tasty but there were so many tiny pieces of shell that made almost every bite crunchy. The pieces were too tiny to pick out and I couldn’t eat it so we sent it back. The French onion soup was the better of the two but still not great. It had a salty, vinegar taste to when all the other French onion soups I have had are usually sweater in flavor. It wasn’t terrible but it just was not the soup I was expecting. After the soup we ordered our entrees and this is where their service was severely lacking. We ordered two dishes of fish, the salmon and the grouper. We were very eager for a redemption from the soups but the fish took an hour to come out. We sat there and watched other tables who had come in after we placed our order and they had their food long before us. To make our other plans that evening we asked for the food to go but even this was a task because our waitress seemed to be ignoring us. She was busy serving the other tables around us who had just sat down, she didn’t stop at our table once to check in during the long wait for our food. This whole experience was extremely frustrating the service was so awful and the food wasn’t good enough to even make up for a little bit of it. The dishes themselves were alright the salmon was decent and the sweet mashed potatoes were the only good part of the whole meal. The grouper had the same crab on it, from the soup, with the shells. This was extremely disappointing, for such an expensive meal (a $30 entree) I was expecting at least some quality to their food. Also we had ordered some broccoli with it which desperately needed some flavor even a pinch of salt would’ve have been better than what we had. The only good thing about the restaurant was that the atmosphere was cute they had nice decorations, that we were able to look at a lot with the lack of service we experienced. Side note. The bathrooms were very cramped and not clean at all.

I came in with my daughter 2 weeks ago and had a great experience with everything including our server Brynne. We ordered the low country boil. Since we had a bowl of soup on first, It was more than enough food. We ended up taking a good bit home bc we struggled to eat all the crab legs and didn't even make it to the shrimp, potato's, corn, or sausage. It was surprising there was no skimping at all unlike many pricey tourist restaurants I've been to in the past. The low country be boil is a great deal for $60.00. We also had the bisque which was great, a little too many onions for me an onion hater, but it had a great flavor and perfectly creamy texture. The creme brulee and hazelnut bread pudding were good too. All told 100.00 before tip for 2 bowls of soup, a massive entree, and 2 desserts. That is fantastic. The ambiance of the place was nice too we didn't feel out of place in our casual clothes around other people dressed up bc a mixed crowd. We felt a bit like savages cracking crab legs around all these diners. I joked with our server that I needed to hose myself off afterward and was a littler embarrassed about being so hands on with the food but she was so nice and made us feel more at ease. The best part was the service we got from Brynne. She was so nice and helpful. I observed her with the other customers too and she made everyone feel at ease and gave genuine interactions. In a world of workers quiet quitting bc they hate their jobs, she was so refreshing to interact with. I wish I could've afford an even bigger tip bc she deserves it, and recognition for doing a great job and having a great attitude. Even though she was busy, she still had everything we needed to us in a timely fashion. Also great ambiance and decor. It's a really cool historic building, with beautiful arched entryways. it was easy to imagine all the people that came here before you and feel like youve stepped back to the 1700s to eat good food and have a good time at this river front tavern. Here is a pic of the results from the low country boil to show just how much food you got for 60.00, the cute but I unfortunate for it little surprise in one of the oysters, and an awesome art piece.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

I'm not joking. Ignore any positive reviews about the food. Those people either don't have taste buds, are heavily inebriated or don't get out of the house often.

First... the pros... well, pro.

The soup wasn't bad... definitely mediocre, better than from a can ... but not quite "restaurant" quality. It was okay... and that's something!

Secondly... the bad, and boy howdy... hold on to your hats!

To say the service was subpar would be a drastic understatement. We were seated and ignored... eventually our server noticed we were in fact alive and in her section, she slowly made her way over... however, being she appeared to also be the bartender at that moment... before she could make her way to us, someone came to the bar. We would soon learn this was her main priority.

And that's fine... bartenders should tend bar. I am all about separation of duties.

But, her diligence in bartending made our meal and evening suffer... so, not cool.

I don't want to throw her under the bus... she is a bartender. Not a server. That was made abundantly clear.

And if you want a delicious libation, I would imagine she could make you one! ... maybe... we order drinks... they never arrived because she got "distracted".

Whatever... no big deal... things happen.

What can not be forgotten or forgiven... is the two disgusting plates of microwaved fish that this dump tried to pass off as home cooking.

The plates were hotter than Satan's taint as were the dead centers of the fishy-mash potato beds of revolting water nastiness.

It was very apparent to me that our food was done swiftly... our "server" had forgotten we ordered food... which I suppose is understandable... it's not like she entered in our orders herself immediately after writingthem... oh, wait she did.

Anywho, I'm sure you get where this is going... food was terrible, service was abysmal.. and no one cared.

That's theme ladies and gentlemen... No One Cares.

They do NOT care and it shows.

But hey... maybe they have good drinks!?!

Of course... they would actually have to bring you the drink, for you to find out.

The odds on that are very slim.

My recommendation... go...
