Top Deck Bar is one of our favorite places to visit while we are in Savannah. My wife and I have only had the Spinach and Artichoke dip and pretzel and cheese appetizers as well as a couple of beers while we are there. We have never tried any other food item as both of these are great, made fresh and we have never felt that we needed to try anything else since we seem love these two appetizers. Great views of the Savannah River and the Talmadge Memorial Bridge and the port of Savannah. This place has always seemed to be pretty busy while we were there, finding a table at times can be a bit challenging and the staff has seemed to be rushed trying to take care of lots of people, however, we always felt that the staff were doing everything they could to take care of guests. We have not experienced any rude staff that ignored us while we have been there as some reviews mention. My take... the food is very good, prices are reasonable, views are GREAT and the beers are cold - what more could you ask for? We have been here 4 or 5 times and look forward to going back next time were in Savannah!

It seems like rooftop bars are the new fad and some are definitely better than others. This spot is fantastic! We didn't order any food so I cannot give any review or rating for that. But the location is perfect. I think whether you go during the day, at dusk, or night, you're going to get a great view. There's comfortable seating like couches, but also tables with high tops and one of the best parts is there is a bar height table that goes around the balcony with bar stools where you can see and really enjoy the view. The cocktails were great as well. I would definitely recommend and go back!

Nice place to have a meal and enjoy the picturesque river views that Savannah has to offer. They have a great selection of beers and spirits as well as small plates and appetizers; however if you have a refined palette, or are looking for exquisite bourbon or a fine wine, i would suggest you look elsewhere. Besides that beers/drinks and food are reasonably priced and this is perhaps the best view of the River specially if you are hoping to catch a sunset. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Attaching some pics, sorry the gf is in charge of that dept so they are cheesy AF

If I could leave 0 stars, I would!

I was in Savannah with my mom and aunt to celebrate my birthday. I've been coming to Savannah for MANY years and never had a bad experience in Savannah prior to this vist at Top Deck! This was truly the WORST experience at any establishment in my life, which occurred yesterday @ 7pm. This experience disturbed me.

When we entered the bar, no one greeted us. We made our way to the bar to have cocktails. The bartop and seats were dirty, so I politely asked the bartender if the area could be wiped off. I believe he took offense, because his tone was very flippant and condescending the whole time we were there. I asked the bartender (white guy with a beard) what could he make special with brown liquor. The tone was snide, and my family and I quickly picked up on the energy, but tried to have a good time despite the bartenders tone. The bartender never asked how we were doing or if we needed anything else. He then proceeds to bring one check shortly after making the drinks. I asked if it was OK if we give three debit /credit card bills to satisfy the check. In another condescending tone, he said "I mean you can do whatever you want".

The bartender never returns to assist us. I had to request help from another barmaid to assist us with closing the tab.

Your bartenders behavior towards us was disgusting. To act like this, especially with 2 women who could be his mothers age was DEPLORABLE.

I truly believe there was a racial undertone to this experience because while we sat and received such subpar behavior, we watched your staff greet your Caucasian guests with the upmost respect, asking them if they needed anything assist.

Very disappointed to have had such a terrible experience during my birthday weekend.

While your bartender received $2 from me, he was not worthy of a tip.

I will leave this tip for him though: Don't let your oneriness or racism/prejudice mess up your money bag.

Signed,

A disgusted...

We will never be back to this bar again.

Our night started off really well, the six people I was with all ordered a drink at the bar and then enjoyed the view outside. We decided to order some shots, went to the bar and ordered 4 green teas. Which is an equal amount of Jameson, peach schnapps, sour mix, & sprite. So NOT A FULL SHOT OF JAMESON. They usually run around six dollars. I received the check and the total was $44. I paid cash real quick because the bar was busy and then realized something was off. They charged me $11 per shot. I asked the door man AJ if I could speak to a manager so they could explain to me why I was charged $11. He was very aggressive and rude as to why I was questioning the price. Soon after a young gentleman asked me if I needed anything and I explained to him what happened and he brought me over to the computer and explained there’s two ways to ring in Jameson one for $7 and one for $8 which is weird to me anyways that there isn’t a set price but still couldn’t figure out why I was over charged. Then the door man AJ showed back up and told the bartender to get back behind the bar and not help us. Which was a big mistake he was trying to help solve our problem. The bartender was hesitant because he was trying to help us. Then AJ told us that we all had to leave and tried to get the officer involved, so he kicked us out. I was with six people, 4 of those six all work in restaurants downtown, and one owns three. We will not be recommending any business to this bar nor will we ever be back. We were basically robbed and then kicked out for trying to figure out why our shots were over charged. The door man is a joke and needs to be let go. He’s ruined...

Went to top deck for my husbands birthday & we were so excited because it was our first time. When we arrived there was a few empty table outside but they were all dirty so we asked a server if it was ok if we sat at one & she just shrugged her shoulders & walked off. So after we cleaned a table ourselves we sat down & never got greeted. I had to flag down a server to get any service even though the same server was serving guest all around us. She never introduced herself & after ordering drinks she seemed to avoid our table at all cost. Once I finally got her attention to order food I ordered the spring rolls for an app & told her we weren’t ready to order entrees yet. We ordered our entrees about 20 minutes later due to her once again never returning until I waved her down. At this point we’ve been here for an hour & a half my husband still hasn’t received his drink & we were ready to go. As I was getting up to find her & tell her we were going to just pay for my drink & leave she comes walking out with our food, entrees & appetizer. I asked her for the check at that moment & when she brought the check she threw it on the table in front of us & walked off. Seeing as she never introduced herself I had to look on my bill to find out her name was Alyssa. Overall it was very poor service. I also work in the service industry so I get we all have bad nights but the service we received (or lack of) was...
