This place is an absolute hot mess and a joke. We were able to sit down right away, but the waitress was beyond frazzled (can’t really blame her, I’m sure it’s stressful). She said she was the only one there. She got on the phone with the owner and frantically asked him to send help. Didn’t wait too long for our drinks surprisingly. The waitress would pull her mask away from her face whenever she was talking to us. Not sanitary at all! Meanwhile, a couple came in after us. The owner walked in and decided he would cater to this couples every whim. He got them coffee, mingled with them forever, got their food out to them quickly, refills, etc (they were literally one table away from us. Also heard the lady rave to the owner about how wonderful this place is. Yeah, when the owner is schmoozing you and your husband AND ONLY YOU TWO, I’m sure it is!!!) Meanwhile, no one checked on us, no refills, we had to track down our own syrup. We witnessed 3 different groups get up and leave during this time. There was one group of 3 gentleman who came in shortly after us and the waitress told them to wait outside and that it would be probably a 20 minute wait. These poor guys stood out there waiting and watching other parties walk in and get seated. Finally one of the guys came in, tracked down another worker and sat at a big table that had been open almost the whole time (a group of women sat there for maybe 5 minutes and then left quickly after realizing how unorganized this place is). Pretty sure the waitress came over and told them they couldn’t sit there, but ended up letting them sit there anyways. A small group of women came in, and the server sat them at the big table with the group of 3 guys (how awkward is that?! And so much for social distancing). The ladies ended up leaving after about 5-10 minutes. And then another small group of guys came in and got seated at that same table where the women just left. No one ever did check on us to see how the meal was and if we needed anything. My fiancé had to track down the waitress to pay for our extremely overpriced, sub par meals. She couldn’t find our ticket so just guessed at the price. I’ve never seen such a poorly run restaurant in my life. The manager clearly does not care in the least and will just pick one table that he wants to wine and dine. He also wasn’t wearing a mask, but expects his employees and customers to wear one. Oh, and make sure you bring cash. The small print on the menu states they don’t take credit cards. Unbelievable. I recommend finding another restaurant that accepts credit/debit and doesn’t have Christian music blaring. Just looking at the owner, I can tell that he does not care about a single one of these negative reviews (there’s a lot) and will never change his approach to handling...

I will preface this with the fact that I am an extremely patient and forgiving person. I often make excuses for people instead of holding them accountable for their actions.. That being said, this felt intentional and I felt others should be aware.
Yesterday around 11:30am a friend and I went into the Two Cracked Eggs next to the Black Rifle Coffee Shop. We were seated next to a table already eating. We sat there for around 20 minutes (patience). During that time, the waitress for that table kept walking past us and politely asking them if their food was good and if they needed anything else. She would look at us from a distance but not look at us when nearby for us to get her attention…. Note our table was just behind the hostess table and all the tables are close to eachother, so she had get pretty close to us to address that table. Another waitress also kept looking our way but never approached. We just figured everyone was busy. Mind you we are literally sitting there trying to make eye contact to get someone to come over. When they would look at us, we figured they would come when they could but that never happened… after about 20 minutes, a party is seated at the empty table on the other side of us. Immediately one of the 2 waitresses (who had been looking at us) says, “Good morning, have y’all been helped? Ok, can I get you some waters?” Then insured not to look at us and walked away.. Instead of causing a scene, we just got up and left…. Even the table that sat next to us had noticed we hadn’t been helped and were feeling awekward about it… I heard they have good food but after almost half an hour of sitting at one of their tables, I couldn’t even tell you what their water tastes like…
With the amount of eye contact we made with these women, I 100% believe they chose not acknowledge us. They were also being short with eachother and it was a weird vibe altogether… Even the person who seemed to be in charge of everyone was sounding frustrated when talking to them (yes we were THAT close to all the staff that we could hear a lot of their conversations)
We left to get a coffee next door and were told that those experiences are common there and people get weird vibes there…
If you are in the area and would like an AMAZING food experience, go to Treylor Park Double Wide Diner!! You will be AMAZED and you will never forget your awesome experience there. I recommend the Hot Chicken Waffles (see photo)! I kind of thank Two Cracked Eggs for forcing us to eat somewhere else. Best decision of the day!!
I know it was long but I meant every word. Safe travels and I wish you all the amazing dining experience...
Read moreWe went Savannah on vacation - found this place and loved it on Tuesday our waitress was amazing the food was great. We told the waitress we would be back the next day. I can't remember her name Caucasian lady long brown hair in a pony tail. We decided to wait until our friends from NC met up with us to show how amazing this place was, we were staying on Tybee. We checked out on Saturday and went straight over there to have breakfast before we left. We had the same waitress, we were seated upstairs this time, there was a small band playing and my husband being a musician was thrilled. They were awesome as well. The whole experience was great until... We watched "Sabrina" the manager berate our waitress who was hopping.. She was busy. Way busy-bussing the tables running up and down the steps and it was HOT - I watched as Sabrina called her away from a table to jump on her for some empty boxes being visible behind us and a door being opened to the storage area. We didn't think it was a big deal but the way she spoke to her in front of customers was uncalled for rude and unprofessional. This poor waitress was BUSY so instead of jumping her in front of us maybe be a MANAGER and help. Close the door and move the TWO empty boxes yourself this waitress had nothing to do with that. Furthermore, as a manager if it was that much of an eyesore (not to us) maybe when you opened that morning your job as a manager would have been to make sure that the upstairs was set up appropriately. I have 3 grown kids that have each - at some time or another worked in food service it bothered me she was berated like that and embarrassed. As we were leaving Sabrina looked at her watch then looked at us. I don't know what that was about we weren't in a hurry and we're enjoying the morning music with our coffee, there wasn't anyone waiting on a table and we were only there for about an hour. It was nowhere near closing time (11 am) and spent 112 bucks so I don't feel like that was warranted like we took too long to eat? Sabrina needs to work on her people skills and next time you want to yell at your staff and not offer help maybe go where the customers won't witness it. Although a real manager would have helped out and not stood there holding menus while yelling at the waitress who was doing her best.
The food was great but the vibe was off that day. Treat your...
