I am not one to complain nor EVER write a review, but I left this place HAVING to get out of the sketchy environment. I had to leave bawling at what occured with me. Leaving my friends, and getting air was the best decision. Mind you I was responsible, sober drinking redbull or water. I ordered food inside their bar. During this time, two others made orders. I am the only doritos locos order. I spoke with the man taking my order three times and stood very close because a creepy man kept awkwardly cat calling me with no one doing a thing. The restraunt is right beside the womens bathroom. My friend and another woman obviously have a "wtf is going on" look. Out of all the bar top, a grown man was sent to come into the bathroom, and we simply asked what was going on and he did not make eye contact and left quickly and concerningly. We all felt VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I am still waiting on a doritos...$12 bag..so I can eat on my way home. 20 minutes... I'm waiting literally there. I could not get my order because I did not have my ticket. Somehow..I had all my things but not that ticket. I did not argue with him,but I was baffled. I said I had order 311. Doritos locos. Can't we check the card...MIND YOU THEY HAD 4 OR 5 ORDERS AFTER ME. Not insanely busy, knowing my order has been SITTING. I'd though he'd hand it to me. So I paid for food and was denied, not even offered to review my charges. I could literally show a bank statement from 20 something minutes ago. I was standing there you know thinking he'd hand it to you..I'm literally that close you guys.
The reason I write this is because after the situation occured in the bathroom, I felt the need to atleast ask him if he saw it because obviously he had to. Just wanting to help and speak the someone staff wise just in case.. He just said.."He is head of security it's fine." Well when I tried to get simply what I ordered. He proceeded to snap at me for no reason. I already paid for an overpriced bag of chips dude. I'm not going to argue with you. Just let me get my order..so lesson
Ladies, be careful. Have your...
Read moreMy first and only time going to this bar. My boyfriend covered for me and we were with friends for a going away party. I was not intoxicated however I have a broken ankle and despite it, I wanted to have a good time with friends. Walking along cobblestone and up and down stairs makes one very exhausted, and when I reached the bar I rested. My friends went to get drinks, I didn't even order a drink and was suddenly approached by three bouncers and was told I was not welcome and needed to leave.
I asked why, was ignored at first and told over and over I needed to go before finally the bouncer informed me the barkeep said I was, "slumped over at the bar."
I was not approached nor checked on by the bar staff, and when confronted I was clearly alert and aware, even showed my ankle boot and was confused. But the bouncer was being aggressively confrontational and wouldn't answer my questions. When I asked if my friends would be refunded the cover fee, especially my boyfriend, I was told no, despite us being there for only ten minutes and hadn't even began to enjoy the bar.
I understand they were doing their job, however I am a trans man and not a big guy, it was ridiculous to surround me with three much larger men, especially when I am currently disabled and act that aggressive. As well as refusing management when my friend asked for a manager. I do not care about being removed, but what sours me is the refusal of a refund and/or assistance as well as the...
Read moreI was so excited to go to Saddlebags! My experience became dissatisfying very quickly. Laura, the "manager", brought my friend the wrong drink. Seriously no big deal. She corrected the issue but did it with clear frustration. I then ordered a beer, specifically asking for a bottle (this is standard for me). I almost always get sick with draft beer so I always specify bottled. I think it's important at this point to mention that I was 2 beers in (not highly intoxicated AT ALL). When Laura brought back a draft Michelob Ultra, I patiently waited for her to return so I could ask for the bottled beer I had ordered. When she was near I said "hey girl, I asked for a bottle". She responded with "no you didn't". I said "yes I did, I always ask for bottle". Her response was "you definitely didn't but fine". Coming from a customer service background, I was extremely frustrated. I understand that bartending in a busy environment can be stressful. Looking back I shouldn't have said anything but I did tell her "there really is no reason to be rude". Laura kicked me out after that. I would NEVER talk to a customer that way. Unfortunately, Laura was just as rude to me as she was to every other customer around me. I am so disappointed in my experience. I definitely recommend spending your money in a place that offers not only a good time but also good customer service. Saddle Bags unfortunately isn't the...
