Overall a three out of five star experience but the deceptive fees bring it down to one out of five stars.
They add a 4% venue fee to every order (they disclose this only on the first page of the menu and in a prohibitively small font) as well as a "Parties over 5 and tabs over $100 will be subject to auto gratuity". What they fail to mention is that the auto gratuity will be 22%, something that is notably over the norm of 18% for parties over 6 or 8 and likely why they chose not to say what the percentage is on the menu. They knew exactly what they were doing here lowering the threshold for this fee to apply, making it 22% and not disclosing it, and putting it in the smallest possible font on only one spot on the menu.
We had a party of 12, all which ordered drinks and the only ones that people liked were the ones on tap. Every cocktail that was made that was a house cocktail was unpleasant and even the classic cocktails made some mistake on the ratio that made them unpleasant. The service was mediocre, definitely not deserving of the 22% auto gratuity that was snuck on the bill. The food was smaller portions overall and what seemed of the lowest possible cheap ingredients to meet the bare minimum of what was described on the menu.
Overall if you are coming here my recommendation would to be aware of the deceptive fees and set very low expectations for the food and drinks. If you are the kind of person that likes a tap beer, some apps, and come with a small party to avoid the hidden fees you may enjoy it. They seem to regularly do trivia nights and have games that could be plenty of fun, but the bad food and drinks and the deceptive fees were kind of a wet blanket at the end...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would! The only good thing about this bar is the waitress/ Bartender Kay. Food horrible! They asked for resverations which we had but walked in at 615pm and it was a ghost town. Not sure why the need for Reservation...lol Floor manager rude when we brought up the issues with the burned food. Went to watch the The NFC playoff game Lions and vikings, they continued to play music instead of tuning into the game! Vinny the GM is a joke. This bar does not even compare to Bevvy! Go Blue Go Lions.
Response to the owner aka GM Vinny! Your server offered us two complimentary shots, which we didn't drink that were completely watery.Of course, we'd stay for the entire game and we would have ordered more food if the food didn't taste horrible. You came by to check on us once after we told you.The incident that had happened. I asked you to turn on the game sound instead of the music.Because none of your employees could locate your ipad or your tablet to change back to the game several.times. Your server kay was compensated very well from us. More than the meal that you comped off our bill. By the end of the night, there was like fifty people in there and who most of them were just standing around watching a game and didn't even order food. I wish my my friend would have. I've taken a picture of her original order of her burger that looked horrendous. Instead of being argumentative in regards to my review, you came up with excuses. Really disappointed in this establishment, this is not how you...
Read moreAtmosphere is nice. First beer was flat and warm. They exchanged it for a different beer that was cold and crisp. Server was horrible. We never saw her after she took our order. And the place was almost empty. She couldn't have had more than 2 tables, and there was only 2 people at each table. Someone else delivered our order to us. We finished our food and had to go to the bar for another drink. Our glasses sat empty on our table for 20 minutes after we were done eating. We had to find the server to ask for the check. We were overcharged for a beer, so she said she would take care of it. She reduced the price of that beer and overcharged us for another beer that was priced right on the original check. The food was good, not great. The onion rings were burned and the smash burger patty melt was well done, even though we...
