My parents and I were visiting from Illinois and decided to stop for a drink after shopping. We sat in a booth and it took a while for our waitress to come to us, even though it was not extremely busy. When she did come, she did not even greet us or ask us how we are. I had ordered my dad a pop (he didn’t drink because he was driving) and as soon as we did our waitress turned around and walked away. She then came back to our table with a major attitude and asked “what do you want” to my mom and I. We ordered our drinks and then she proceeded to ask for money. After running my card, she tossed the credit card slip on the table as she was walking by to go back behind the bar where she proceeded to take a shot for herself. She didn’t say thank you, or enjoy, nothing. HORRIBLE attitude and service. I bartend on the side at home, and I would never treat anyone the way she treated us. After looking at the bill, I noticed something was off. She over charged us for one of the drinks (that was more than what the menu said). When I approached her about it, she only said sorry and that the scan code wouldn’t allow them to update the most recent menu. I get having technology problems, but then we should have been told that from the get go upon arriving. I’m not sure if it’s because we weren’t a “fun” party with a lot of people who wanted to take a bunch of shots or what the issue was. I did enjoy the atmosphere of the bar, but if you want a friendly, enjoyable waitress taking care of you in the Rockbar, I do not...

While vacationing in Scottsdale recently, we wandered from our hotel over to RockBar the first night we arrived. I guess we weren't expecting such a fun, loud, party town, and RockBar really kicked off that feeling for us. It was the best!! We walked inside to a loud band playing awesome covers, meandered outside to enjoy the warm October evening weather, and eventually headed upstairs to the open-air roof-top bar and patio. We played pool out there, watched sports on their TVs, and even ordered food delicious food (I recommend the pizzas). We had so much fun that even after a full day of exploring town the next day, we ended up back there with friends on Saturday night also! Their staff is outstanding! Seriously, every aspect from our front door greeting from David, to our food delivery by Jack, and our favorites: bartenders Scott and Linds, we were overwhelmed by the friendly attitudes. It's seriously one of the most fun and well-rounded places I've been in a long time! Can't wait for our...

This is a really nice small bar with a very small stage and nice lighting. The band that was playing they put up their logo with really cool animations of fire going through several screens throughout the venue. They also have screens so that you can see the band where ever you were standing or sitting! Given it a nicer look. They had a nice area outside that you can hang out at. Nice to have in the night time weather in Arizona. They also has a nice menu of tasty snacks you could pick from, as watching the bands play. A full bar. I just had a soda and it was going for 3.00 and that is not bad for the area they are in. The staff was very pleasant that took care of the bar. The only thing I wished they had was cocktail service to the tables. With a full bar it was pain to get to the bar. However they did let you open a tab up, so any of the bartenders could get you what you want to drink. I will go back again and enjoy this small place, very fun and great people who...

Went here to see headliner band Beach Viper and their opener The Stumbles, until recently called Stumbling Moxie. Both bands were outstanding and we really enjoyed their mix of covers and original music, especially Beach Viper. The bar ... was a little small and awkward. There are u-shaped booths but they go down the wall away from the stage and face at a 90 degree angle away from the stage. Consequently, a couple people in our party could face the stage, a couple had to turn full left to see the performers and couple people had their back to the stage ... so I ended up standing in the aisle the whole time in order to be able to see. If I could give five stars to the bands and two stars to the oddly shaped venue, I would do that. The bartenders were all friendly, professional and speedy, five stars to them, they were awesome.

We have been here a couple of times and it is always hopping. This last time they had an 80's band, The Chadwicks, on a Tuesday night. They were loud and sounded pretty much like the original bands singing the songs. The DJ had the 80's video playing at the same time as the band was singing that song. The crowd sang along. It was pretty cool. The bartenders were friendly. There is an upstairs covered patio with TV's and a small bar if I remember right. The views are nice up there. The place is all about rock and roll. It can be a tad dark in there, but we like that. No dress code to speak of. Some folks were in t-shirts and shorts and others were in slacks and collared shirts. Girls were the same....from t-shirts to heels. We love this place in Old Town Scottsdale.
