12/2021 Hygge at the BP: Dropped into my local favorite, Belltown Provisions, on a rainy and cold Friday night. The place always cozes me up on those Seattle winter nights. BP just envelops you in its warmth. Had drinks and the "pop up" pizza. All were good, but everything would taste good in such a welcoming place. Go and experience the BP yourself. You'll enjoy the Hygge
9/2021 Below was my review when this great bar possessed a different name. "A Rose By Any Name Would Smell As Sweet." While Shakespeare may not be referring to Belltown Provisions, his quip is apropos. Thus, what I wrote before, still holds true. Yet, if anything, Belltown Provisions is even better, Jon and Joey becoming mainstays of the neighborhood, operating an establishment catering to all. This is not a niche bar. Belltown Provisions was created to be an integral part of Belltown, making everyone comfortable and welcome.
"On my first "snowy" evening in Seattle, with a friend visiting from Wisconsin, I spied this inviting bar. No one was in the bar, sad for the bar but fortunate for me, still trying to avoid human contact. This is a handsome tavern, dark and sultry, with the requisite wood bar, comfortable booths, and scattered tables.
Drink selections are unique, and the food on offer quite delicious. Jon and Joey, the bar's new proprietors, are welcoming, engaging my need for conversation. I expect this place will be hopping when the warm weather arrives. It's...

We came all the way from Orlando, Florida, excited to attend what was advertised on Instagram as an R&B event â with no mention of needing to purchase tickets in advance. When we arrived, we were met with a rude and dismissive attitude from the entry girl. We tried to explain we werenât from the area and had traveled far, but she just shrugged and said, âOh well.â
We had already spent $60 on an Uber just to get there, only to be told to stand outside in the cold and wait until people left before we could possibly be let in â even though plenty of people were exiting. No one came to update us or acknowledge us at all. After being ignored for too long, we decided to leave and waste another $60 on the ride back.
The customer service was terrible, and the way they treat guests â especially out-of-towners â is beyond unprofessional. To top it all off, the music we did hear from outside was nowhere near what weâd call a true R&B vibe.
Thankfully, we made the best of our night and had our own R&B party back at the hotel with real R&B music. But we definitely wonât be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Total waste of...
Read moreBrought a party of 7 here for a birthday gathering around midnight. Each of us went around and placed our respective orders with the server/host.
After some time only 5 cocktails were brought to the table, 4 of which were correct. Since they were delivered by the owner, we inquired about the two missing orders and asked about the one that was incorrect. He was immediately defensive and accusatory instead of being curious and helpful.
Trying to be understanding, we accepted the wrong order to make things easier and had the two people in the party who didnât receive their initial orders go up to the bar and order again instead.
After returning to their seats, we continued to wait. More and more time went by so we inquired again with the owner who continued to be curt.
At this point we were all confused why we were being treated so poorly but stayed and enjoyed each otherâs company until the owner kicked everyone out of the establishment early.
We chalked this up to being a difficult night for him for reasons unknown but the experience has continued to weigh on me and I wanted to share for those who may patronize here...
