Black Cat – Garzon Latinx Street Food 12.14.2022
On a chilly Wednesday night at 7:08 p.m., I entered the red-light glowing Black Cat Bar, Seattle, which was tastefully filled with community and gambit. Every Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to close, Belltown Chess is held. There is plenty of seating at the bar and elsewhere. During this time, pinball is 100% available, and there are no requirements for silence, as Iron Maiden is made aware at a comfortable high note.
Tonight, I Indulged into two Items from Garzon Latinx street food Menu
PATACONES Twice-fried plantains with aioli—dangerously delicious. After taking the first couple bites of crispy, lip-smacking fried bananas, I paused, and my mind drifted into my inspired foodie dream land.
Enter Dream Land Thoughts: I want this delicious snack, but I want it prepared for a celebration with my family and friends. Patacones multiplied by 12 on a platter alongside a gathering of nice, big, saucy grilled fish, and I'm sure the chef at Garzon could come up with something even better than I could imagine elevating the cuisine experience. I'm making a note in my phone to remind myself to email Garzon about catering menus in the future. This is an absolute must!
STEAK PINCHOS Three marinated and grilled steak skewers paired with the house aji &aioli. Every time I have had this snakish dish, I have enjoyed it. Over the course of the year, regardless of location or pop-up, it has evolved into a mighty fine savory treat. The house aji with spices gives it a nice mild kick and is a pleasurable partner with the forward aroma of garlic in their creamy aioli. This is a generous deal at a reasonable fare of $10.
My unusual pairing was a double Aperol spritz. Aperol, to me, informs my body to get ready for a delicious meal, preferably during the daytime or evening before meals. I will choose an aperitif or amaro before diving into the classics. This spritz, which can be off-putting to some due to its herbaceous sweetness and improper sparkling to club soda ratio, is done appropriately by Black Cat!
Long story short. Dine at the Black Cat, Experience Garzon, Play Chess on Wednesdays and relax with a proper bevy of...
Read moreI came to Seattle for a dnd show and to check some pinball places as im a big fan. Went to black cat. They got 3 great machines. Unfortunately one wasn't working properly- ate our money. So I went up to the bar and waited my turn, it wasn't busy. There was one person talking to the bartender. I politely told the curly haired bartender his Maiden machine ate our money and explained what was happening. He responded with a condescending tone and said something along the lines of "oh so my machine ate your money? So you want my money to make up for it? Ok heres money out of my pocket because you lost your money". Cash came out of the til, not his pocket. It was super rude, and yea rubbed me the wrong way. I tried the machine again as he didnt even bother looking into it. Did the same thing. So I approached the bar again. I will say I wasn't happy this time around due to how he treated me the first time. Before the bar tender could answer the manager, bald guy, came and put his arm around me and kept repeating "you got 2 choices, take your 2 dollars or leave". As I saw he was a manager or I assume he was i tried explaining what happened. And just was going to suggest maybe turning the machine off or something. He wouldn't let me speak. And kept interupting me. He then kicked me out anyways. Not a great experience. Rude bartender, manager that doesn't want to listen to customers. Too bad. Thankfully Shortys Jupiter and Just The Tap were close by. Which all three I'd highly recommend for pinball or drinks or...
Read moreI recently visited Black Cat Bar and Grill in Seattle, and I must say, I was blown away by the overall experience. The restaurant has a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, which made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in the door.
The food was absolutely delicious -- every dish that we tried was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The menu had a great selection of options, and everything was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend trying the wings and the brisket, they were amazing!
What really set Black Cat Bar and Grill apart, though, was the exceptional customer service that my group and I received. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable dining experience. Whether we needed a recommendation for a drink or an extra menu item, they were happy to assist us.
Overall, I had a fantastic time at Black Cat Bar and Grill and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great meal and excellent service. I can't...
