I grew up in Arlington and decided to move back with my fiancĆ© 2 years ago. Since moving Iāve been a daily customer at Starbucks on broadway in Arlington. When I began coming this āmanagerā named Ben would be there daily. He would constantly give me a cold attitude and no greeting. Because I was there for the coffee and not him I would just ignore it. As time went on multiple instances happened where he would go out of his way to target me while I was there. Just to name one scenario I came in one day and as Iāve mentioned Iām there EVERYDAY. Since Iām a regular a lot of the other baristas/ other managers and I have formed great relationships as acquaintances exchanging plans for the weekend and asking about each others days. One day I came in there was one croissant left and it was just before closing a kind employee asked if I would like the last croissant after ordering and waiting for my drink. Ben notices that this croissant doesnāt have a order sticker on it and began to call me out Infront of the whole store, customers, workers, everyone. He proceeded in his loudest and most condescending tone saying that if I wanted something I had to buy it and gave me the dirtiest looks. Mind you I did not as a customer ask for any free items or special treatment this was offered to me by a barista that works there. In fear of getting the barista in trouble I apologized and let the situation go. Another instance is when I had an important phone call that I was waiting for and unfortunately they called while I was waiting for my order. My phone had some water damage so I had to place it on speaker to hear what the person was saying. Mind you itās mid day in Starbucks everyoneās having their own conversation, music is going, itās just loud overall. He is making his coffees and look at me and says āyou need to turn that offā Iām appalled at this point because this isnāt my first run in with him and I can see at this point he is grasping at strings. I didnāt reply I simply told the person I was on the phone with id call them back, got my drink, and left. This is just a couple problems Iāve had with him and there are many. Like I said Iām on good terms with other baristas and managers (mostly all) multiple of them have expressed how hard it is to work under him and how unkind he can be. I genuinely feel bad for some of the great people who had to work with him in Arlington. I hope he is better in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this Starbucks location recently and had a very disappointing experience. I needed to use the restroom urgently, but an employee stopped me and insisted I make a purchase first. While I understand there may be store policies in place, the way it was handled felt rude and unnecessaryāespecially considering it was an urgent need.
What bothered me most was the tone and attitude. It made me question whether this interaction had anything to do with how I look, and thatās something no customer should ever have to wonder. Iāve been a regular Starbucks customer for a long time and use the app frequently, but this experience left a very bad impression.
As a result, Iāve deleted the Starbucks app and will be taking my business elsewhere. Thankfully, there are plenty of other cafĆ©s with good coffee and respectful service. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSent my daughter in to order a bagel and coffee, they were out of bagels yet it still took about 20minutes to come out with 2 coffees. Okay so maybe it was busy, understandable, but then I call to ask if she was still in there waiting, (was waiting in car with a baby), I was told that there was no small girl in the store by that description. Then I asked to speak to a manager and was told that I was already speaking to a manager. It was just lack of curiosity that turned me off and then to add that there were no bagels yet she still waited 20minutes for 2 coffees. P.s manager didn't seem to give a "you know what" that I was asking if a child was still in the store and that he barely looked. By the way she was indeed in the store. Im aware that it isn't a daycare of any sort but humanity is still a thing, to only...
